  • Great if you live in dry climate, otherwise avoid
Color: Black
These headlights look fantastic, but avoid at all costs if you live in a climate that may have rain. I’ve had condensation seep through multiple times. While support does respond, you’re advised to diy sealing them and are advised of a 30 day return and 90 day warranty. Not aware of critical car parts having 90 day warranties, much less defective parts. ... show more

  • Fogged up
Color: Black
I gave a 4 rating due to the fact that after a couple of months one of them fogged up they do look amazing on my husband's truck, I did contact customer support with this issue and they were most helpful even though it was past return policy they did send us a replacement light and had me return the defective one. Due to the helpfulness of their support I would buy from this seller again ... show more

  • Moisture intrusion after 2k miles even after adding a silicone bead to the perimeter - AVOID!
UPDATE 2: More time with these AmeriLite headlight replacements for the Tacoma reveals that they're a hard-line 'avoid' item, unless you don't mind fogged up headlights and no real way to fix it. I just went through a big tear-down of these since I've switched to real OEM, and it looks like they didn't even seal the lens piece to the body correctly. The bead is incomplete and didn't even make contact with both pieces, leaving them totally open to moisture intrusion. Even better, if you use silicone or most other sealants available on the consumer market, they //will not stick// to the body of these light assemblies. How do I know? Well, my RTV silicone peeled right off, because it turns out the body of the lights are made of polypropylene, which requires special adhesion promoters and adhesives to allow any glue to stick to it. In the end, these were a total waste of time and money -- and if I could do it again, I would definitely not. I really want a refund, but that's likely out of the cards since we're pretty far away from the purchase date at this point. SAVE YOUR MONEY - AVOID AMERILITE!!! UPDATE: My review below noted potential for moisture intrusion, and after only 1.5 years and only 2000 miles (yep, the truck has been under surgery a lot this year), I have moisture intrusion, even after running a bead of silicone around the edges to help keep water out. AmeriLite is clearly a low quality counterfeit brand only to use on vehicles you don't care about. The Toyota OEM ones lasted 12 years and 93k miles, these lasted 2,000 miles, before moisture got in. Extreme disappointment. Avoid this product. These AmeriLite headlight units look just like the originals. For an easy-button refresh of old faded, cracked, burned headlights, these are great. Upon receipt and inspection, I found that the seal between lens and backing/canister did not appear complete, which I anticipate leading to early moisture intrusion. To overcome, I ran a bead of clear silicone around the perimeter and smoothed out. Upon installation, I found that the inner mount arms are shorter than OEM, causing a significant fitment issue with the OEM grille. The OEM light units fit with the grill perfectly, so it is definitely an issue with these specific units. They’re off by about 2 cm, lending to weird fit with getting the grill snapped in. Second more significant issue at installation was the realization that the light bulb holders / units weren’t quite as smooth and reliable as the originals. These units and cutouts need significant improvement. Overall, these are a great facelift for my 09 Tacoma, but with a couple adjustments to how they’re molded and produced, they would be a true OE replacement. Knowing what I know now, I might actually spend a little more and get the OE. I’m just not the right user for “close enough” fit and finish. ... show more

  • Improve the look of your vehicle. Best for darker vehicles.
Color: Black
Very easy to install. Unscrew the two top screws that hold the grill in place. Use a flat head screw driver to lift the plastic plug on each side of the grill near the headlight. If you break them while removing, when you remount the grill ziptie the hole and the reinsert the broken plug and it will lock in place. Pull the grill up and it should come out. Lots of room to see what is happening. Take your time and have fun. Pay attention to where the mounting holes are on the new headlight to find where to remove hardware. To remove the hidden under the fender you lay down under the front bumper between the wheels and look up into the corner. You can reach up in there with a ratchet and 10mm socket to remove the bolt. Top ones are easy. Press and squeeze the connectors to disconnect the light bulb or twist the inner and outer on your old unit to do it away from the headlight. Go onto YouTube and watch a video to get a better idea. It is not as hard as described if you are mechanically inclined. You need Philips and flathead screwdrivers, 10mm socket, ratchet or 10mm wrench, some zipties, and flashlight. No special tools needed. ... show more

  • Seal the lights with silicone before installing!
The fit and finish is nice and for the price it definitely restored the appearance of my Tacoma. I had them for a year and half when the passenger side headlight had condensation on the inside. I pulled it off and dried off the water and checked for leaks. There was one so as other buyers have said, take 15 mins to silicone around the light before install and this won't happen. I did pull the other light off and silicon around it as well, just in case. ... show more

  • They fail to respond to my response about a product defect
The packaging and quality was great. I had taken my vehicle to the Toyota dealership to have the lights adjusted to factory specs. The right headlight has a defect. I submitted a written concern to the seller and they fail to respond

  • Great fit and easy to install. Very good value or the money.
Color: Black
These headlights went in with an exact it. The one and only drawback is you get no instructions at all for adjusting the beams.

  • Problem Solved
The lights look great but after 5 months moisture formed in the passenger side unit. I contacted AmeriLite though Amazon and they replied immediately. They sent a replacement and provided return shipping for the bad unit. I accept the fact that these are not the same quality as genuine Toyota replacements but they look great for a low cost and the company service was outstanding. I'm convinced that my current lights are sealed tight and should last for years to come. ... show more
