I have plenty of cheap tools, if I don't use them often or I'm not sure if I will like that kind of tool. In this case I am replacing one I lost. I don't think there is anything too American about this tool. It does work fine and the handle is about the right size for my hand (average). However mine came with the blade bent and the rubber thumb pad coming off. In general it's not made of the best materials. There seem to be many models that look identical to this one and at the time I got mine this one was more expensive. So I guess my recommendation for these products is to the get the one that is the best price

This comes smartly packaged, though the blade was a bit bent. I'm not sure how this would hold up over time but I only needed it for a fairly simple job. I had toilet bolts that needed to be cut down for the caps to fit. It worked and I think if you only need this around the house from time to time it will suit you. If you're a professional or need tools such as this on a regular basis, maybe invest in something better.

The handle seems to be made from sturdy metal with very little to no imperfections. Handle is plasti but it can easily be swapped with a wooden handle you can make in your shop. The blade that came on the saw leaves a lot to be desired. If you have an immediate need for this tool, I suggest visiting your local Home Depot or Lowes and getting a decent blade, before your item arrives.

Minus one star because this tool is made in China. The box tells you right up front the tool is designed in America, but it is made in China. Come on American companies, start supporting American workers. I will gladly pay more for American made. Amazon, start telling your customers this information. Otherwise this tool seems well built and is a nice size. I have done many DIY projects in the past and the normal sized hacksaw was just unwieldy. This will be nice to have on hand!

This is a nice addition to my tool box. I have a number of hack saws but, for some reason, never had one of the close quarter saws. It was time that I changed that and placed the order. The saw is actually a fairly nice tool and includes one saw blade. Would have liked to find a few blades included but they have chosen to include only one. The handle is comfortable in hand and the end that locks the blade in place is placed just eight. The saw blade is ridged enough to do a decent job at cutting in tight places. All-in-all, I am quite pleased with this saw and am very sure that I will be putting it into service soon and often.

The design of this mini hacksaw is very good. It takes both 10” and 12” hacksaw blades and it is easy to swap blades out and adjust the size. It pretty much mimics all of the mini hacksaws I have used in the past, but it is built better than most. I have had some that are cheap plastic and they actually feel wobbly when you are trying to saw. This one is strong and firm. The construction is solid and it gives you more leverage. I don’t think you can go wrong with this mini hacksaw.

This is a nice add to he toolbox. The Small size adds a level of versatility missing from full sized hacksaws. The handle is rigid and I feel very confident pulling the saw. Blades will be easy to change. The grip is really nice, I have zero concerns about slipping. Overall a nice addition to the mobile toolbox!
