My daughter has used this Boot Ice Skates for several months and she like it so much. It fits her feet well. The blade touches the ice, it is better to remove the ice from the blade after training. We forget to do it in beginning, but it seems that it has no effect on the blade as no rust is observed. ... show more

Unfortunately, I didnt take my little one skating until after the return window had closed, so I have to eat the cost of these skates. They have NO support, and are cheap junk. Dont waste your time and money. We ended up taking these off after 15 minutes and putting rentals on her, which are fine. I will not take the cheap route next time, and get her decent skates. Nice pair of starter skates! The boots were not flimsy as some other brands, and provided adequate ankle support for a beginner. The skates arrived sharpened, even came with small blade guards....an added bonus! My 8 year old daughter loved these skates. As a former competitive figure skater myself, I found these skates to be a good choice for a casual, beginner skater. If your child decides to take weekly lessons and considers competition, you will want to consider a more professional boot/skate. But again, this boot is a nice alternative to the unsharpened, dull, rental skates often provided at ice rinks. ... show more

Our 7 year old started lessons and these are perfect. She feels stable and they are pretty. Go with the child’s shoe size or one size bigger as we found we went a size bigger to get their foot to fit.

Nicely made skates, priced so well that it does make sense to buy versus rent even for occasional skater. My daughter likes going to the rink from time to time, and she is very happy with how skates fit, glide, and look. This is her second pair, and I will buy again once she grew out of it.
