Using the buttons on these skates, I could only expand them to a tiny, maybe size youth 1 length. They are supposed to go up to 9Y. A little wrench was included and I can see where there are bolts to adjust. However, I can find no instructions on how to adjust them. I think it's really unsafe to send a child on the ice with some half-assed tightened piece of plastic. They ought to explain clearly how to adjust and how to make sure they are secure and safe. These are adjustable yes but there are two definite flaws. The first one is the plastic cover adjusts, the toe piece. The sock on the inside does not adjust so there is a gap between the sock and the largest skate position of about 1 inch. Also the entire foot is not covered with plastic, only the toe and the sides. The top of the foot is only covered by this sock. Furthermore the sock is sewn together with a very loose Stitch and ripped open immediately ... show more

My 4 year old is in his second year skating and hated these. They go down to a shoe size 9. I ended up buying a real pair of hockey skates as my kid kept falling and cried the whole time and hated them. Might be better for someone who has not skated before.

Cheaply made skates with sizes all over the place.. Got the smallest ones, which, according to the markings, should be too small for the toddler wearing size 11 and they are still too big, though seem to be working. Size adjusting mechanism works smooth, but the internal boot is very thin and the plastic shell fits harder than it should feel because of that. Internal boot is, supposedly, removable, though if it is it's really hard to do. I couldn't do it easily without damaging it, so I gave up for a while. ... show more

Really adjustable, but I drilled a hole in the side so the plastic strap could go outside the shell instead of inside. My 3 year old's foot is small, so we had to crank the straps, but that put more strap inside the shell, which was uncomfortable b/c it pinched. Not sure why you'd design an adjustable hard shell so the hard strap goes inside next to the foot? But they're otherwise very functional and inexpensive. You DO need to have them sharpened before the first use. ... show more

Spent extra money to get is sharpened. To find out its not a “real” skate. My kid couldnt even stand in these and can skate on other skates...Basically my kid was laughed out of his skating class. Just dont buy it! I threw mine in the trash!

Perfect for my kiddos under 6... But the buckles are a little hard... Not the highest quality buckle but great for little kids! ( our top buckles keep popping open but the bottom ones are hard to open) great for prove as they will last a few seasons due to adjustable sizing!

The product described size as 6-9 youth, but when I got the boots, the size fits for age of 3-5 year old. I am very disappointed.
