I am using this tread pad in conjunction with a strip of leftover baby-proofing edge foam to give my son's bed ladder better grip. It works wonderfully. The ribbed surface makes cutting straight lines easy and the grey color matches the bed perfectly. The adhesive is very sticky and covers the entire underside of the padding. My only criticism is I thought the padding would have more of a cushion effect. As the pics show, the rows of ribbed surface are hollow inside; when compressed, they basically flatten out. The pad isn't 'squishy' like the white edging I have bordering it. Even so, it does a nice job lining the ladder rungs and makes climbing up and down more comfortable. Side note: I taped the ladder rungs first with gaffer tape in the event that I ever want to remove the treads (gaffer tape generally removes without leaving residue). The tread adhesive is sticking to it without issue. It's handy in case you ever want to remove the padding and not worry about adhesive residue marring the furniture. ... show more
