  • An Unbeatable Investment
Size: 1.6" x 1.6"
If you want the absolute best of both worlds: chart-topping gaming frame rates and lightning-fast productivity, the Ryzen 9 9950X3D is the chip you need. I upgraded from an older 8-core setup, and the difference is staggering. AMD finally fixed the compromises from the last generation; because the 3D V-Cache is now located under the compute cores, this chip doesn't suffer from the thermal and clock-speed limits that the 7950X3D did. It comfortably boosts up to 5.7 GHz and has a massive 128MB of L3 Cache, making it an absolute monster for CPU-heavy simulations and gaming. But if you need a true "do-it-all" processor with zero compromises, this is currently the undisputed king. That being said, it is a significant investment. ... show more

  • Very Nice CPU
Size: 1.6" x 1.6"
This CPU is soo nice, pretty pricey but its awesome compared to my old 14600k. If youre only going to game, id recommend a 9800x3d since the extra cores on this one are mainly for multitasking and stuff.. but if you're in the same boat as me and do content creation which involves rendering with the CPU, its really quick. I use after effects along with handbrake and this cpu blazes through the x265 preset on very slow... i use an aio so i cant say if its going to run cool for others, but with my aio its nice and quiet. The power consumption is nice. Installation is easy, and 16 cores is just a really nice upgrade if you want speed.. Oh and it does really well in games... Very WELL IN GAMES.. but like i said, if youre only gaming.. i recommend a 9800x3d because this would be overkill in that case... ... show more

  • Insanely Fast for Gaming and Multitasking
Size: 1.6" x 1.6"
Upgraded to the 9950X3D for a high-end gaming and productivity build and this CPU has been incredible so far. Gaming performance is excellent, especially paired with a powerful GPU, and multitasking feels effortless even with multiple applications running in the background. I’ve been using it with an RTX 5090 and ultrawide OLED setup, and the performance has been extremely smooth in demanding games and heavier workloads. Temperatures have also been more manageable than I expected with a good cooler and proper airflow. The AM5 platform setup was straightforward and memory compatibility has been solid after tuning. If you want top-tier gaming performance but also need strong multi-core performance for productivity, streaming, or content creation, this chip is a beast. Definitely expensive, but it feels like one of the best all-around enthusiast CPUs currently available. ... show more

  • Best AMD 16-core AM5 CPU for gaming enthusiasts!
Size: 1.6" x 1.6"
I was very fortunate that I was able to buy AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D for $699.99. Of course, I have to pay sales tax afterwards. But the reason why I had decided to move over from Intel Core i9-14900KS to AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D was because there are more reports that people are having system stability issue which can cause serious BSOD error. I've tested it myself and I can confirm that I was able to reproduce BSOD error which really drives me mad and I hate have to deal with crash, even though this was updated & flashed with the latest BIOS update. Yes, I use ASUS ROG Maximus Apex Encore Z790 Motherboard. I was very disappointed, and I even set to default settings in the BIOS, and yet my system can still crash at anytime, whether I'm browsing, gaming, and/or editing videos. Therefore, I have decided to move to AMD CPU which I'm very glad it's working no problem. I also bought MSI MEG Godlike X870E Motherboard and had to download and update the latest BIOS from MSI website. Your mileage will vary and will always depend on your motherboard vendor. Other than that, I'm very happy with my purchase and I'm also glad that I get zero crash whatsoever. Performance was excellent, easy to overclock via PBO (Precision Boost Overdrive), supports AVX, AVX2, AVX-512 instruction-set extension, you can play around with thermal throttle temperature limit to prevent CPU overheating which I usually set to 70 degrees Celsius, very easy to install, noise level is not loud, as long as you have proper cooling solution which I use Noctua NH-D15 G2 LBC. Of course, you will need to apply thermal paste to have good contact between IHS and cooler heatsink. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase and this was by far the best opportunity to move over from Intel to AMD platform which I understand why the vast majority of customers don't want to spend money on Intel due to the fact that their CPU and microcode was very unstable, not reliable, nor it didn't meet customer's expectation! Nevertheless, AMD is the new king and yet it's no wonder why there's very high for Ryzen 9 9950X3D 16-core CPU for both gaming and content creation! ... show more

  • Great Processor
Size: 1.6" x 1.6"
It's a screamer. Very fast processor. Upgraded for a i9 13900 (unnecessary), but I wanted to get out of a pre-built and back into a custom machine. I work in IT for a living and have been studying Ai, after allot of research I decided on this processor and couldn't be happier. I had always run Intel - I had a Athalon system back in the late 90s and ran into various issues for the few years I ran it. I had shrugged AMD off up until the last few years - keeping an eye on them. They have a great product here, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this processor if it is within the person's budget. If you are just use one of the 8 core processors and be fine, but if you are doing any type of productivity, you can't go wrong. Make sure you get a good Aio cooler as it does like to get warm. ... show more

  • Powerful
Size: 1.6" x 1.6"
A powerful and highly performant CPU that I was very happy to upgrade to. Great for Productivity and for Gaming. The thermals are pretty well despite the heavy loads you can throw at it.

  • Very good value for a good enough workstation CPU
Size: 1.6" x 1.6"
Top of the line CPU. For work and play provides stable and reliable performance. This CPU has the top of the line AMD Zen5 CCDs reaching the maximum frequency available for this generation. I also have the standard 9950X and that CPU has one "good" CCD @5.7 GHz and one "bad" CCD that only reaches 5.4 Ghz stable. The 9950X3D provides two good CCDs the 3D Cached one reaches 5.6 Ghz stock and the non 3D, 5.7 stock + 0.2 Ghz on PBO. It also can be safely (100% stable) undervolted by 15mV on both CCDs (maybe more if if you tune each CCD separately). The only downside of this CPUs is that you can't reach good memory frequency if you are using 4 Dimms. Thus for intensive work that uses lot of memory this will be a small bottleneck. Maximum stable speed I was able to reach on an ASUS Strix X870E board was 5.6 MT/s with 4 Dimms even after tunning the impedances and voltages. Beware not use more than 1.2 V of VSoC as that is the maximum safe voltage for this CPU. You can eventualy reach more memory frequency with a higher VSoC but that will accelerate CPU degradation so, I don't recommend doing it. The CPU supports a maximum of 256GB of RAM (4x64 GB DIMMs) but be advided that is only provides 2 memory channels so, that might bottleneck your performance. For a better workstation you should get a Threadripper with 4 or 8 memory channels if your budget allow it. ... show more

  • Great processor.
Size: 1.6" x 1.6"
Just moved from a gen 2 threadripper that is awesome to this. Going to find a new home for the old threadripper and move down to this. email me if you want to buy a Gen 2 Threadrippr mb, cpu, 56gb ram and Noctua heatsink just looking for a new home in someone's case. Now to this processor. I still need a cpu that can perform some serious workstation processes. Some far this little gem is performing well. I am surprised how well all my Office 2024 apps are working and my number crunching programs are performing. So far, I am impressed for a cpu billed as the top current gamers cpu. I am happy with this purchase. Cooling with a Thermalright Royal Preytor Ultra 130 and used Arctic MX-7 for the thermal transfer compound. This system is staying cool and performing much better than I expected. Good buy. ASUS Crosshair X870e HERO MB and Corsair Vengence 6400 and a kit of 32gb. Samsung 990evo 1tb NVMe ... show more
