After drinking 6 or 7 cups of Amazon coffee, I decided to test it against other brands. Both Starbucks and Keurig’s are superior. Clearly, I am not a coffee connisseur, but the bitterness of Amazon coffee was truly overwhelming. BITTER. I wish I could return it because I will not use any more of it. No amount of creamer and sugar could douse that bitter taste. Do not buy this coffee unless you are desperate for bitter caffeine.

It's said coffee is subjective, and for me Sumatra was an acquired taste. The aroma and flavors were funky...like fresh earth, herbal, spicy...with notes of moss and mushrooms, and I hated it...initially. NOW it is my preferred coffee of choice. I thank my nearby Starbucks for frequently having it as their coffee of the day in the early days when I acquired the taste. I've tried others, but SB is my standard as I cut my teeth with it...like I said, personal taste. And SB does indeed do a good Sumatran imo. BUT...this AmazonFresh Sumatra Dark Roast is like an SB clone. Full bodied, smooth, and low acidity...with all of the funky, earthy notes that I love. And the fact that this Amazon is about half the price of SB makes it that much sweeter! If you like Starbuck's Sumatra, try Amazon's. You will not be disappointed. P.S....USDA Organic and Certified Fair Trade ticks two more boxes!

I have tried other national brand Hazelnut K-cups. Amazon's is not bad at all. The flavor of Amazon's coffee is a tad sweeter than the others, but it's not a deal breaker for me. More than likely I will order this again. Can't beat the price; that is a fact.

I've tried out several Sumatra k cups and have been disappointed up until this one. The flavor is very earthy and similar to Starbuck's Sumatra (which I love but wanted something a little less pricey). I think this is my new go to!

This coffee is not for the faint of heart! It is very bold. I like strong coffee so this really rates high for me. I have noticed that many strong coffees have a great deal of bitterness in them. This coffee has only a slight bitterness to it. It's very strong!!!
