  • Who uses micro USB anymore?
Style: Premium Headphones
Nice fitting and functional headphones. -1* for ancient micro USB charging port

  • Good ANC and has aptx, but not comfortable
Style: Commuter Headphones
I am convinced that the commuter model is a rebadged Adapt 360. The sound quality was good and the ANC was better than the Soundcore Q30, but the very first thing I noticed when I put these on was the pressure on the head. Every once in a while, I was able to adjust it just right where I could wear them for longer than 20 min, but most of the time, the force against the head was too much to listen for long. I probably would've kept them if they had more adjustments to wear comfortably. ... show more

  • Disappointing
Style: Commuter Headphones
I bought these because they were very cheap and seemed to have great reviews. The sound was mediocre compare to other inexpensive earphones I have and when I checked the reviews again, they seem to have mixed them in with another, more expensive Amazon earphone. I returned them, got Anker phone which sound excellent. ... show more

  • Surprisingly good but priced too high
Style: Premium Headphones
The AC premium is reminiscent of the old Sennheiser PXC550. It looks and feels like the PXC550 and even sounds similar but with tighter and better controlled bass. The overall sound is better than the PXC550. The sound is balanced and enjoyable to listen too. However, at $261 (last check), it has some stiff competition. Currently, the Sennheiser Momentum 4 sells for $269 and the Sony WF-1000XM5 sells for $298. In my opinion, both these headphones are better than the AC Premium and rank at the top of the class in terms of sound and noise cancellation. The AC Premium supports the SBC, AAC, aptX and aptX-LL codecs for improved sound quality. However, it does not support aptX-HD and LDAC for Hi-Res audio quality. The sound and nose cancellation of both the Momentum 4 and XM5 are noticeably better better than the AC Premium. Are the Momentum 4 and XM5 worth the price differential? I think so. I have all three of these headphones plus the old Sennheiser PXC550 and Sony WF-1000XM4. For nose cancellation, the XM5 is the way to go. The sound quality is very good and the noise cancellation top notch, equal to or better than the Bose QC 45. For sound quality, I prefer the Momentum 4 although the noise cancellation is a step below the XM5. In my opinion, the sound quality of the AC Premium is not quite as good as either the Momentum 4 or the XM5 and the noise cancellation is comparable to the Momentum 4. I think the AC Premium would be a good buy at $200 - $225. However, if I'm going to spend more than $250, the AC Premium would not be on my short list. Some of the AC Premium's physical aspects need to be considered too. The headphone is not for large heads or large ears. I wear a 7-1/8 hat size and have an average size head and ears. The AC Premium barely fits when fully extended so anyone with a larger head than me may not be able to use this headphone. The earcups are also on the small side, like the PXC550. My ears fit into them but just barely. The touch control panel is responsive and feels similar to the XM5 and Momentum 4. ANC is controlled by slide switch on the right ear cup. It can be switched from maximum to adaptive to off. Pairing is controlled by a button that also appears on the right ear cup. The headphone is switched on and off by rotating the ear cups like the PXC550 and Momentum 4. I also took issue with the micro-USB port. Really? In this day and age, who uses micro-USB? Fortunately, a micro-USB charging cable is provided so you don't have to hunt one down. At $261, I give the AC Premium a 3.5 star rating rounded up to 4. It's a competitive headphone but not at it's current price point. The headband size is another issue and will limit the target audience for this headphone. ... show more
