I got this in today. On inspection it feels nice. The bendy flap needed a little bit of bending to make it easier to put into place to work correctly as the intended kickstand. This does stay well in place in portrait and landscape orientation. It offers ease of access to the side buttons and charge port. The flap is magnetic. I happened to not have a screen protector on my fire max 11 before hand. Before I put the screen protector on I tried the magnetic screen part of the cover ..now, it was pretty secure, I wouldn't say I had to pry it off, but I did have to use a little force opening it. It's not bad though. After I put a tempered glass screen protector on my screen it was still secure but it was a little less aggressive to pull off. For one, I wish this wasn't so expensive since it's really just your basic book style cover. The viewing angle is mostly as if you're only intending to watch something and there's not much flexibility in varying degrees of setting the tablet. If I were Amazon I would've opted for an adjustable kickstand flap backing like they used for the keyboard kit. Too bad you'd have to pay a lot more just to have that piece. A safer bet would've been if Amazon made a smart folio like apple made for their iPads. Amazon was halfway there with this cover, had they made the front part foldable and kept the magnetic backing or made it a tpu back it would've had a bit more versatility in viewing angles. Maybe it would be nice if they made a future fire 11 tablet with an integrated kickstand like the Microsoft surface hybrid laptop/tablet.. I'm plenty happy with this case as a simple stand and protection from scratches in a bag. Good for watching things and reading. I do wish they had made a smart folio variation or sold the kickstand back separately. I also wish it weren't so pricey. But it gets the job done.

I love the color but it will stain if you aren't careful with it, and absolutely not surface/spot washable. Also be careful holding the tablet up make sure you are hanging on to the device not the flap. I developed a bad habit of holding on to the flap from previous covers I have owned which were the tub design. I almost lost my brand new tablet, I'm sure it would have broken upon impact with laminate flooring. The magnet just isn't strong enough to hang on. it is sturdy propping the tablet up,which is super nice. The other ones didn't work correctly and I gave up trying to use that feature. I'm just not seeing value for the price maybe at half price but honestly I was a little disappointed when I opened the box. Pretty sure I will be buying a different cover sooner or later.

I own the Fire 8 Plus and new Fire 10 both with the Amazon cases and those cases are far better. This case doesn't protect the edges of the tablet at all and due to this there is nothing to hold on to except the actual tablet screen. Also with this case the speakers point straight up unlike the other cases that help point the sound towards you. The magnets are strong but a good drop will send the tablet flying out of the case. I'd really like to see a max 11 case that's deigned like the others were the tablet snaps into place. Pros Premium feel Vertical and horizontal standing positions Screen is protected when closed Cons Doesn't protect edges Doesn't stay in case if dropped hard Sound isn't directed towards user like other Amazon fire cases Doesn't give you anything to hold onto around the edges

I like this cover a lot. Very slim, lightweight, and protective of the Fire. Stands up well in landscape or portrait position. The only thing I do not like it there is virtually no room to hold the table without hitting the screen and losing your place. The margins are very narrow and I constantly hit the screen with my fingers. Trying to learn to maneuver the tablet with the cover open a bit. May look for another cover at some point. other than that, great cover.
