Many reviews state that they run large but I think that’s how they should fit. My experience: I bought a white 2 years ago; at the time I was a size 8 or 10 in jeans and I ordered a large. A bit big but comfy so I use them for lounging around or as pjs. Last summer I lost a few pounds and was wearing size 4 or 6 in jeans so I ordered 2 more pair in size small, which fit but not comfy and loose so I returned. The elastic waist just didn’t feel right, maybe because I had gotten used to the large. In any case want them loose enough for warm weather comfort but not so loose they look sloppy. The white pair from 2 years ago has held up well; a bit of fraying at the waist around the elastic but they're still pretty nice. This year I ordered a medium and yes it is a bit big but I like the look. They get really soft in the wash and because of the cotton content don’t get as wrinkly as linen. ... show more

I was desperate to find a pair of white linen pants and took a chance on these since they were only $19. They’re decent for the price—lightweight, elastic waist, and the length is good (I’m 5’5” and they hit right at the ankle). But they definitely run big. I’m 5’5” and 122 lbs and the size Small is too loose, especially in the waist and hips. I should’ve gone with an X-Small. If you're on the smaller side, size down. ... show more

Well-constructed; fabric thicker than expected. Rise in waist is much higher than shown on the models and overall fit is much broader, which leaves a very baggy fit for me (I ordered small, fits larger than a size 6?)—much like an oversized pair of scrubs or pajama pants. Not the look I was going for, and won’t be wearing these out of the house. Only keeping because I washed them too soon. Buyer beware: the striped materials are faulty. I have a pair of these pants in black that I love, but after having the ecru stripe for only a month and maybe 6 wears they tore not in a seam but the actual material right down the white stripe. They were not tight, they fit loosely, but tore all down the right side of my bottom. Check the reviews, you will see many others have the same experience with the striped versions. I would still cautiously try another pair of these pants, but in a solid color only. My black pair I have had for months longer and wear frequently is still holding together, and I hope stay that way! ... show more

RETURNED — I really like the style of these pants and the material is super comfortable for summer (tho wrinkles). I purchased several while they were on sale because how could you beat that price?! However…the small were too big/loose and the x-small were too tight in the hips so for me it was an odd fit. Plus a couple of them fit nicely while others didn’t so most of them were returned. I’d say try it if you don’t mind returning them if you experience the same thing. Otherwise they really are cute, comfortable pants for summer. ... show more

was pleasantly surprised by these pants. The fabric is soft, lightweight, and drapes nicely without clinging. They look much more expensive than the price I paid. I’m returning mine only because I need a size down, but I already reordered them in a smaller size. The fit through the hips and legs was great, and they were comfortable right out of the package.
