This is actually amazing. I've worn it twice. No pilling so far. I actually think it runs just a little big for the average person. I'm 5'10" and the length is similar to tall sizing in other mainstream brands. I'm on the thin side and it's just a little roomy, but I really do love it. It was warm this winter in a ski town with a puffer vest over it. I think it will work for spring, too. The neck has structure and doesn't gape but also isn't too tight. I love these cotton sweaters and have a few in my favorite colors for wearing in the fall. They also work well under a down vest, in winter, so they are versatile. Being cotton, and in a tight cable knit, they are comfortable and roomy enough to wear a rayon turtleneck underneath. They wash well, but I do block them to dry, instead of using the dryer, to keep the cotton in the best condition. Amazon Essentials are always good to have. Update: I really liked this sweater in light grey, I ordered one in each color in medium and found the sizing greatly varied. I ended up sending 4 of the six back. It’s a great sweater but I suggest ordering a size down and a maybe two sizes down and see which fits best because each one was different, up to 4 inches different on the sleeve length and over three inches on the hemline, that’s a lot. I give it 5 stars when you get the right size but three stars for very inconsistent sizing. Returns are easy though. This is a very soft cotton sweater in a medium weight, it’s not a super thick cable knit, like one I have from Amazons Meraki line, which is very very thick and chunky cable, my favorite turtleneck! This one is nice though, it runs large, I wear a large most of the time but this was too big and I had to exchange them for medium. I’m 5’9” 160lbs small bust for reference. I have it in a crew neck in medium and it fits perfectly, so unless your very large busted or like super oversized sweaters then I would recommend going down a size to look like it does on the model. These are nicely made and they washed beautifully on cold delicate layed flat to dry, no shrinking. Pretty sweater, love the light grey! ... show more

I now have this sweater in black and the forest green and they both fit the same. I did order a size up as I like my sweaters very loose. I tried my normal size, which fit well, but decided to go with the size up mostly for sleeve length (I have very long arms) I have washed the black one several times and it holds up well. I hang to dry. These are truly 100% cotton and not made in China. (at least the green one, I can't remember the black one) As for 'thin material' I don't find that the case. It is a good midweight sweater. It might appear there are 'holes' in it or looks 'see through' but that is the nature of cable knits. I just wear a long sleeved t-shirt in dark color under it. The turtleneck is not too tight and very comfortable. I am very picky about that. I wish there was a nice very dark brown in this but might also order the charcoal.
