I expected something lightweight and serviceable, but what I got was a noticeably heavier, thicker knit that actually feels warm when you put it on — not always a given with basics. It looks polished enough to elevate an outfit, but still relaxed and cozy enough for everyday wear. Fit is generally flattering, though I’ll note that the middle can feel a little wide if it rides up. The good news is it pulls right back down and settles nicely, so it’s more of a minor quirk than a dealbreaker. The fabric is softer than I expected and feels comfortable against the skin. I haven’t washed it yet, but I already know this is a “lay flat to dry” situation, which feels reasonable given the weight and structure of the knit. I've been wanting a red sweater like this for a long time! I was pleasantly surprised it's 100% cotton. The fit is slim but it's not tight, it has quite a bit of stretch to it. It is mid-weight and it feels breathable which is refreshing for me because I run hot. It will keep you warm but not overly warm. If it's very cold it will probably be great with a long-sleeve layer under it. I'm 5'9", 135lbs. I usually wear a small to medium or 6 to 8 US in tops. This sweater is a Medium and plenty long. The sleeves are just right, I often have trouble with sleeves being too short as a tall girl. The bottom band of the sweater doesn't hug my hips like many tops that sit below the hips do. It also hides my "mommy tummy". FOR PEOPLE WITH SENSORY ISSUES: It's not scratchy but not super soft either. Having sensory issues, I can say that it's pretty comfortable. I only tried it on for a few minutes with a short sleeved tee on under. The texture on my arms bothered me a little but I will probably get used to it after a bit. If not, I can comfortably put a long sleeve layer under it since the sleeves aren't tight (but I do have skinny arms). We'll see how it does with wear and washing but so far I think it's fantastic!

I ordered two of these sweaters. One I ordered in navy in the size recommended by Amazon. The green one I ordered one size larger because I wanted something generous that could be worn on a windy mountain day or a winter walk on the beach. Both are much larger than expected. The navy one looks oversized and slouchy, which was OK, but the green one comes down to my mid thighs and the sleeves are just as long. BUT the quality of the knitting is awesome. I am going to try to shrink them since they are cotton. I figure I'll start with the green one. I'm going to wash and dry in the dryer as many times as it takes to get it small enough that I can roll the sleeves up and find my hands. LOL I am a very large person, so wearing oversize can make me look larger. They navy one is comfy, and I wore it to church on a cold morning, but it didn't look appropriate, and I can't explain why. Anyway, SUPER soft and warm, 100% cotton. Navy arrived here in 2 days, green took a month, literally. I recommend SIZING DOWN when you order. JMO. I'd order these again in smaller sizes.

I just received this sweater and I'm truly impressed by the quality and the thickness. Given the economical price, I feared it might be really thin, but it is not. It's perfect with a mock turtleneck and it's nice and warm. The color is a beautiful deep navy blue that works well with jeans. I'm sure this will quickly become my favorite pullover sweater. I often purchase a size small but Amazon suggested a medium and they were right. It fits perfectly; neither too loose nor too tight.

This is actually a really cute sweater, and it's cotton! I like natural fibers because I think it helps my body regulate its temperature better. It was true to size. Typically I wear a small and this fit. :) I have slightly longer arms and the sleeve length was good. It was a good weight for shoulder months (winter going into spring).

I have been looking for this type of sweater for years ... and I mean more than a decade! COTTON (!!), soft, classic, midweight (heavy enough to look great after washing), relaxed fit, warm but NOT bulky. I go with X-Large so I can put a shirt underneath, but they’re NOT sloppy on their own. These sweaters are the quality I used to find at Talbot’s and Coldwater Creek. I finally gave up on wearing my winter sweaters because they were all too warm. I gave them away and replaced them with 'Amazon Essentials' sweaters. These launder well, but treat them with care. I go with a gentle cycle, cold, dried on 'extra low' for ONLY 10 minutes to get them started toward dry. Then dry flat, as recommended. This is quality merch, not something to throw in with jeans and other things with zippers!! I love the fact that I could find jewel tones as well as black. If you like pastels, they are here, too. Thanks for coming to my rescue, Amazon!

I wear Petites. The proportion and sleeve length on this sweater are nice BUT I'm going to hand wash and dry on my sweater flat dryer to keep this one properly sized. I don't like oversized unless I choose that style, and I do like this sweater so I will go to that effort. Otherwise, it's a nice quality, the color looks good, and it will serve me well through spring season.
