Honestly, I usually don't write reviews, but I LOVE these Amazon Essentials Fishermen knit sweater! They are 100% cotton, beautiful colors, the perfect weight, and are very good quality for the price ($20.00 each & the coral pink was on sale for $11-ish), however the sizing is VERY INCONSISTENT!! For reference I am 5'11" and 145 lb. I buy a size Lg in anything long sleeve, because I have long arms. The Coral Pink sweater fit perfect! The Cream Sweater fit like an XL! It was all stretched out, and felt like someone had even washed it??? I really like the style of these cable knit sweater, but I have to return the Cream Colored one, and I have no idea if I should go down a size or not?? 🙃 ... show more

    • Great 100% cotton sweater

I really like 100% cotton clothing, and it is getting more and more difficult to find. Acrylic sweaters tend to look like crap after one season, while cotton sweaters can last for years if laundered gently and air dried. I love the cabled ones for work, as they look slightly dressy but are not hot like wool. I've bought this sweater in blue heather and deep green, and they are great. Vibrant colors, well sewn, nice fit and very soft and comfortable. I'm usually an L or XL, and bought this in a large. It is roomy enough for me, but I wear it with just a camisole underneath. If you plan to wear something heavier underneath, you might want to size up. I'm 5'8" and long waisted, and this sweater is plenty long --hits me at about mid-hip. Washes up perfectly, with no extra care. I plan on buying at least 2 more, as these are so perfect for work. I've also bought a cabled turtleneck from the Amazon Basics line, and it is great as well. For $25-$30, these are a real bargain. Recommended. ... show more

I bought the incorrect sweater, and didn’t realize it until I cut the tag off to try it on. I had multiple tabs open in my iPad, and I had ordered another small cable knit sweater, which is also called Amazon Essentials Cable Knit Sweater. However that one says lightweight in the description and this one says fisherman. I like this, but I don’t love it, I wanted the oversized look, I plan on wearing them over long sleeve tee shirts, or long sleeve bodysuits in the fall winter. Amazon offers the same items with varying prices and I’m creating my fall and winter clothes collection as things go on sale. Fit: A little smaller than the other Amazon Essentials Lightweight Long Sleeve Cable Knit Sweater. Material: Heavier weight than the other sweater, definitely will be nice during winter. Color: Very pretty pale pink. I tried it on with khaki knee length stretchy jeans type of mini skirt, light jeans, dark jeans, and white jeans and it looks cute with everything. Also no evidence was left on my wide leg black dress pants after trying it on with those, so it is a nice quality sweater, that doesn’t appear to shed, especially if you get it on sale. Over all, I am happy, but not as happy as I am with the other sweater. My bad for not paying attention while ordering, but I’m taking off one star, because IMO it doesn’t fit like the other large, even though it’s big on me, it doesn’t give the same look or feel as the other sweater. I need to review that style as well, because I purchased 6 of that style, 3 medium and 3 large size, and I’m keeping all 6. Cute sweater, and if I only bought this one, I probably would love it, however since I already had bought and worn another style so recent, it’s v difficult not to compare them. ... show more

I thought the color of this sweater was really nice from the photo provide. Now that I have received it, the color is gorgeous, and much nicer than expected. The fabric is of a high quality with a nice weight to it. The cables are well executed and beautifully defined. The size is spot on!     • Fantastic sweater!
This is an excellent sweater. I can't believe the quality for the price. It is every bit as nice and substantial as a Land's End or LL Bean sweater, but at a fraction of the price. I ordered a large in the color orange. The weave on the sweater features tight stitching without any gaps, which makes it cozy. The large is slightly loose on me but I wanted to be able to layer a cotton button-up shirt beneath it, so it's perfect. although I could easily wear the sweater by itself and it would still look great. The hem of the sweater can either hang long, almost a tunic length, or be rolled under and the remaining sweater hits just below my belt. So, I could tuck in the front if I wanted to. (I'm 5'4") though it's a straight cut sweater it does contour to my shape. It's not boxy or bulky at all. This sweater is not scratchy either. The orange color is vibrant and warm with a deep undertone that keeps it from being fluorescent. When I do wash it I will do so inside out, on a cold, gentle cycle. I will damp dry it on a low setting and then allow it to air dry. That way it won't shrink. I cannot recommend this sweater enough. Buy it for yourself or it would make a great gift. Update: I think the sweater runs big. No big deal. Returning it for a smaller size. Still an excellent buy. ... show more

Coral pink is closer to Halloween orange! I wish the color swatches were closer to the real color. Other than that, the sweater is very well made for the price and is comfortable. The weight is perfect for the winter or fall days and can even put a shirt underneath. I also purchased the cream and the red which were represented colorwise correctly. I originally bought X-Large which was too roomy and went to large ..much better fit. ... show more

This is a very nice cotton sweater. It is soft, midweight with perfectly knitted cables. It is a good length. I am 5'6" and it hits me low hip. I have long arms and the arm length of the sweater is just right. I bought the size recommended in the size chart and the sweater is slightly oversized. Not baggy, a slightly relaxed fit with enough room to layer a tee underneath when the weather turns cold. I bought the chestnut brown color which is a brighter brown. It's a pretty shade of brown that goes with everything. The quality and appearance of this sweater is equal to other sweaters I have that cost three times what this sweater cost. ... show more
