I think this sweater fits as expected, but I'm not completely sure as I inadvertently ordered the wrong size. The large I ordered fits tight, as I would expect because I normally wear an extra large. My bad, but I assume the extra large would fit well. Even without my mess-up, however, I don't know that this would be my favorite sweater. It is rather thin, but it works best when worn by itself. Unbuttoning it and wearing it over another item seems to make it loose its shape - it hangs funny and looks frumpy. But because it is so thin, wearing it by itself only works on warmer days, which kind of defeats the purpose of wearing a sweater. Otherwise, the sweater is fine. The ribbing and the collar are nice and the color (dark caramel) is rich and earthy. The sleeves are long for me, but I have short arms, so I am used to that. I do have to roll up the sleeves by several inches. If I had ordered the right size, I would be happy to have this addition to my wardrobe for in-between days at work or for an extra layer to wear around the house when I don't mind looking frumpy. I love knit buttondown shirt, though they are often hard to find. Woven buttondowns tend to pull somewhere, or if a larger size, look frumpy. A knit shirt just fits. (And, okay, maybe this is more like a 'sweater', but I'm calling it a 'shirt'.) I am sometimes an XL and sometimes an XXL in Amazon sizing, and got the XXL here because it's my hope to wear this as a shirt, and I didn't want the buttons to gape. I got the right size. FWIW, I have wide hips, and the fit on me is very similar to the larger model, which is to say that the bottom opening spreads a bit at the hips. No worries on my end; just pointing it out. Also, I'm tall (5'10"), and the sleeves are long enough for me. I love this fabric (similar to other Amazon shirts I have), a ribbed rayon-poly blend. It has a nice stretch and polished look to it. I love that the buttons are places about every 3 inches, to help the front stay closed. I love the overall styling of this, with the crisp collar. FWIW, I've noticed that when I sit down, the buttons do gap a bit. Just a thing that happens with buttondown shirts, I think. Finally, I got the navy color, which is a very dark blue as indicated by the photos and could almost be mistaken for black. I imagine I will wear this as a shirt most of the time, perhaps with a camisole underneath in a more professional setting if I'm worried about exposing skin across the button band. But I think it will also work well as a jacket, leaving the front open. ... show more

I like the cardigan a lot. It is made of rayon/polyester blend and it is comfortable and stretchy. It is done in fine 4 by 2 ribbing with some knitted detailing to make it look more interesting. The fabric feels silky and looks pretty matte. The neck label is as horrible as it is customary with this brand, so I removed it before even trying it on. I wear size 8 and size M fits me perfectly.
