These boots looked great right out of the box. I picked a size 9, as my regular women’s size is a 10-10.5, and planned to wear thicker socks when using them. The fit was perfect, any bigger and my foot would have slipped too much, and a smaller size would be uncomfortable with swelling. I’m loving the fact that you can step into these boots without bending. They slip on sooo easy, and are also super easy to tie. The lower laces stay secure, and the upper hooks(?) are easy to get the laces around. A very nice surprise for this “older girl”. No yoga required to get them on and off. I’d give them five stars for just that! I love the color combination, and they appear very understated. They look like “old school” high tops. They are also fairly comfortable. The soles are very rigid, and the tread is nice and deep. They feel substantial, but are surprisingly easy to work in. I wanted them for use at my job site, as it gets super muddy when it rains (I work in transportation). Thought they would only be useful in that manner. However, I’ve been wearing them out in the woods near my house, and slogging through my garden bed. I usually wear lower cut garden shoes, but I’m really appreciative of the ankle support these boots provide. I do some semi urban foraging on a neighboring reclaimed property, and any other areas locally (with permission), meaning I face many different types of terrain. It’s been a muddy spring so far, and I’m could not be happier with these boots performance! I’m enjoying feeling secure and steady while foraging and gardening. My socks stay dry, the boots are very breathable, and the laces stayed secure. I mentioned originally being worried about the weight of the boots, as I’m an older female, and the boots were marketed for men. I found their weight manageable, and didn’t feel worn out after trudging through wet grass, mud, loose rocks and over the occasional broken pavement present in the reclaimed area. They are high enough to guard against anything trying to ankles. They still look new, so I’ve been wearing them for 2 hours today to break them in over spring break. I will be wearing them next week to work as well. At this point in time, I’d say that I’m glad I took the chance to try them. These would be an excellent addition for the price, great for semi urban users!! So far they have exceeded my expectation! (Asparagus for scale.) ... show more

These boots are sturdy, fit pretty well and are true to size. They're comfortable and have decent arch support. They have deep treads and grip well. My socks stay dry when walking through wet grass which I do often in the spring on my property and in the surrounding woods. They support my ankles well but if I tie them really snug then the little slope that is on the top of the boot rubs my ankle bone and is a little irritating. I loosen the laces a little then it's not an issue. To me they feel like a medium weight boot, not too heavy but also not light. I really love the look of them. They stand out due to the reflective strip on the sides which is a great feature. They're a good value for the quality as they seem rugged and durable. I'm really happy with them. ... show more

This is a nice pair of men's waterproof hiking boots. They are very solid and support the foot and ankle extremely well. These hiking boots have great insoles that support the foot including the arches. That makes for a great time of walking and climbing on various off-road terrain. These boots lace completely up for customizing and added support. The hardware for the shoe strings are sturdy and well attached to the shoes. The shoe strings are thick nylon that will hold up for a very long time. The traction of these boots are great as well. The traction on these boots are also thick and very durable perfect for hiking. The cost for these boots are reasonable as they are made very well. Given that these are men's boots that is a reasonable price for men's footwear. The only thing I would say is that in the foot and toe area they are little narrow or a true medium with n stretch. They grabbed the pinky toe a bit. But if you need to size up, that probably would not hurt as these shoes really do hug the feet and ankle. ... show more
