My son loves these pants. He is 6'2 almost 6'3 and 185lbs. I bought him the 33X34 and they fit him great. You can't beat the price either. As long as you take them out of the dryer and fold them or hang them up right away they don't wrinkle. The fabric is not too thick. My son wears them to school for chapel and they are a great uniform pant, for the money. He has grown 6 inches in the last year so I couldn’t stomach spending $50 again. I don’t know how they would hold up to being worn more than once a week, since the fabric quality isn’t great but the fit is nice (he is slim but not skinny) and they have stayed looking nicer than I thought they would. I would compare the quality to a gap outlet pant. The fit is slim but not so skinny they hugs his calves. I would say they are a casual khaki, not nice enough to wear with a sport coat bc the cotton isn’t super smooth. But we don’t have to iron them so that is another plus! ... show more

I ordered my usual 33 inch waist and I really liked these pants but had to return them because they are tight in the waist with no elasticity (even though they claim the fabric is 3% elastene). They seem like 100% cotton. I have many different brands of pants or jeans in 33 inch waist with 1% or 2% elastene (including Amazon jeans). They all have much more give than these Amazon chinos. I was able to button the chinos but they seemed pretty tight and I was afraid they'd be much too tight after washing. I did like the fit otherwise. Slim for sure. ... show more

    • Good But Not Built to Last

A little over a year ago, I bought some of these pants cause I was looking to upgrade my old khakis for some fun colored and affordable chinos. I got a pair of these and they did the trick. They fit well, felt decently built for the price, and looked great. I liked my first pair so much that I got a few more in various colors. The color selection is great. I have worn these a lot over the last year. They are casual enough to wear with a polo or t-shirt, but can be dressed up with a long-sleeve shirt and a blazer. They quickly became my go-to pants. I had enough pairs and color variations that I was washing them about once every couple of weeks. However, after a few washes, I started noticing two things: 1) the bright, beautiful colors started to fade, and 2) the fit wasn't as comfortable after a few washes as it was when I first got them. For the price I paid, I should have expected some of this. They are very affordable, but you are ultimately getting what you paid for. These are not built to last if you are going to be wearing them regularly (which I suspect most who are buying them will). I eventually purchased a few more chinos from more name brands in similar colors, and after a few months, they are definitely resisting the color fading and shrinkage a lot better than these Amazon Essentials did. So my final thought is that these are pretty solid pants, but you are getting a mid-range quality product that will not stand the test of time if you are using them as regular everyday/work pants. If you will only use these occasionally and primarily use jeans or dress pants, then these are a solid purchase that you should be able to get years of life from. But if you intend to wear them for heavier, more regular use (work pants) then I highly suggest pay twice as much for a more reputable and durable brand (Dockers, BR, Levi etc), cause you will end up doing that anyway with regular wear and tear for these in less than 2 years. ... show more

    • Excellent school uniform pants for lean teen boys!

These are a great value and fit for your tall, lanky teen kids who need uniform pants for school. My son is 5'9" with a 26" waist and 32" inseam, and it is impossible to find khakis that fit him in the US without paying way more than necessary for pants that will be outgrown or worn out in a year. I bought several pairs of the 28 x 32 pants here at a significant discount (unpopular size?) and added some 1" elastic to the inside of the waistband facing on the back half of the pants to make them stay up without a belt, and it's worked perfectly. I also recommend the Amazon Basics khaki shorts for warm weather school uniforms. They are easy to modify in the same way mentioned above. All of the pairs of pants and shorts I've bought have held up very well through multiple washes over the past nine months without fading (tan and khaki colors), and the metal zippers haven't had any issues. These are a slimmer cut that works great for my slender teen son; if you are heavier or have bigger legs/hips/glutes, this style might not be the best fit. ... show more
