These cargo shorts are a bargain! True to size. Color correct. Material is a bit lighter weight than other brands, but I think that is what makes them so comfortable compared to other cargo shorts. Pockets are deep and well positioned. Buttons vs Velcro? Both have advantages and disadvantages so that’s a wash. Some reviewers say the main closure button above the zipper has come loose/fallen off soon after purchase. The day after I purchased these shorts I used some heavy thread and reinforced the stitching of that button. Ordered two more pair and have the thread on the needle ready to reinforce the closure buttons. Again, I often wear cargo shorts and these are truly the most comfortable I’ve worn. Guess only time will tell the durability of the fabric. My guess is these cargo shorts are the best bang for the buck I’ve ever come across. ... show more

My favorite cargo shorts are Lee Wyoming, but they’re not really all that cheap. This is where these Amazon Essentials shorts come in. I needed an extra pair for an upcoming trip, so in lieu of spending the cash on some more Lee’s, I thought I’d give these a shot. I’m very pleased with the quality and fit. The length is great too. It’s very likely I’ll be ordering more of these as my older shorts wear out. There are a few suggestions I have to make a great product even better, though. First, the Lee cargo shorts have a dedicated phone pocket on the right side. Would love to see that on these shorts. Also, would love for the pockets to be a bit deeper. Lastly, I haven’t had a problem with it, but I did see a complaint on another review about the button on the pockets. They’re covered by a sewn flap, which could cause some to have trouble undoing the button. I haven’t had that experience at all, but just be aware. Overall a very nice set of shorts and great quality for the price. Highly recommended. ... show more

100% cotton cargo shorts without an elastic waist - what's not to love. They fit as expected, didn't fade or shrink in the wash and seem colorfast. The slash pockets are too shallow (guaranteed to have crap falling out of them) and the inseam length could be two inches shorter. Seem well assembled, but time will tell if the buttons stay in place. My cell phone fits securely in the the buttoned side pocket. I will probably buy again in various colors. ... show more

The package was delivered very quickly. It is good looking short as shown in the picture. The quality is average. But the size it is a bit large. These are probably the most comfortable cargo shorts I have ever purchased, and I live in cargo shorts ALL the time, living in Hawaii. I am a 32 and the 32 size fits perfectly. And unlike almost every other pair I own these do not tend to sag low and show off my underwear. The only drawback I have is that if you want the grey color, don't count on it. I purchased Grey twice and both times I got Navy Blue. I don't really want navy blue, but I resigned myself to one of the pairs since they are so nice, despite the color. If you want navy blue, then who knows, you may get grey, and we can trade. ... show more
