In my opinion the shorts are too thick but that is the only thing I dislike about the shorts everything else is spot on. I wear size 36 waist that is what I ordered when I ordered the shorts and they fit fine the waistline is elastic and has a drawstring.

These are great shorts for lounging or running errands. My son is 6'4" and the large hits just above the knee. Size up too, they run small. The fabric is soft and light weight. As I read in numerous other reviews, unfortunately it's true, one of the zippers on the pockets broke the first time he used it. I was going to send them back but considering the price, we're keeping them. Funny thing, he hangs with guys that never speak of fashion. These are exactly what I wanted. Something lightweight to wear around the house but secure enough to wear on a quick errand. The zipper pockets are great because things typically like escaping from the pockets of athletic shorts.
