I mistakenly thought the Cloud Wing 2 was some evolution of the 10D Cloud Up 2 (which is no longer available) - not the case, it's a completely different design! You can't detach the rainfly from the inner tent and this was a dealbreaker for me given i want to watch the stars, ventilate in the summer, or just set up a shade structure (rainfly only). I was also surprised there were no loops to stake out the sides of the tent - I can see you don't get the maximum floor space because these loops are missing. I set this up side by side with an REI Flash 2 & while the Cloud Wing 2 was superior in ease of set up - the Flash 2 was no competition with double doors, double vestibules, detachable rainfly, completely freestanding, 1 year satisfaction guarantee, DAC poles & stakes and sheer roominess (headroom & floorspace) Now, mind you, the Flash 2 was a 60% premium (at 40% off!) so I had to swallow the pill as my original budget was under $200 (so I went over by 36%). It is lightweight at 3.65 lbs (Flash is 3.26 lbs) so you're doing great cost/weight ratio if you go w this option - just know you are sacrificing liveability. The tent *barely* has the option to include a cozy partner (Flash is already tight but more realistic due to near vertical walls for increased headroom) Take all this w a grain of salt as I never took this in the field - I had to do a quick assessment in the living room so it wouldn't get dirty if I decided to return it (which I did) I hope Naturehike gives their 10D Cloud Up 2 design another revision in a way that doesn't sacrifice so much over the original design. Its almost like they wanted this to be the successor and can't tell it falls short for what it wants to be at its price point. Would not recommend the Cloud Wing 2 (not to be confused with the Cloud Up! The Cloud Wing should be its own product listing!)

Ultimately I did return this item. I live on a very hot environment most of the year and need way more mesh, like the 'Paria Bryce 2P' has. If I lived in a place where the nighttime temp was high 60s to low 80s Fahrenheit (~20-28 C) or cooler, I would have kept this tent for sure. PROs: -- Very lightweight for it's price point -- Good material, again for the price point -- Very easy to set up and take down -- Small footprint CONs: -- Not enough mesh for summer, gets too hot above low 80s F (28 C) -- Threads were a bit messy in some areas, making me nervous about longevity

Just took the tent out for the first time. It was easy to set up. The 2 person tent allowed for plenty of room for my gear with out adding too much weight to my pack. Most impressively, it held up to over 8 hours of some serious rain. I was sure that there would be some sort of moisture leaking in, but the tent held up great! There are a few minor issues with the tent, but nothing that makes it anything less than great! Especially for the price!

My partner (5’11” 170lbs) and I (5’2” 140lbs) both fit in this tent very nicely, although there is not a lot of extra space with two people you can sit up in it without your head touching. It is a nice lightweight tent that takes only 5 minutes to set up.

I purchased this after reading several reviews and watching videos on budget backpacking tents. I didn't have a whole lot to spend, and really wanted something reliable. I got a little concerned as the weather forecast started to change and saw the temps were going to be low 20s or below with high wind and possible rain. I didn't practice setting up the tent before leaving, all I did was watch a video the night before. A friend of mine was hiking with me and between the two of us we got it up easily, I didn't even use the extra guy line to post on the side, it was just me sleeping in there for the night, didn't need the room, and so far it didn't seem like it was going to rain. I HEARD the wind through this tent all night, and it swore it was going to rip right out of the ground. It was very loud. The wind was strong enough to knock my friend's tent over a few times to the point she shoved hers in a bag and climbed in my tent around 2am. I finally got some sleep, and I think she did too. We both managed to fit, I don't know if I would call this a 2 person tent, or do a long backpacking trip with this and just two people...but for us I think we fit just fine for the night, and even had my pack inside since I was worried about rain and she brought hers inside too when she climbed in, so we definitely filled the space. I think there would have been even more room had I used the side guy lines to pull it out a little bit more. We didn't place our tents in the best location, we wanted the sunrise/sunset view, in hindsight we probably should have utilized a spot where part of the mountain could block some wind...but for one night we survived, the tent stayed put through the harsh wind, and I stayed plenty warm. I don't know if I can credit the tent for that since I had on several warm layers, a good 20 degree sleeping bag and a 20 degree quilt as a blanket over me as well. I would like to see how it does in a rainstorm, but fortunately we did not have to deal with any rain on this trip so I can't say anything about that. I can only say that on the side of a mountain placed in a very exposed area on the Roan Highlands with high wind it didn't budge.

This came to late for Oshkosh Air Show but watched reviews on this tent. It will keep you dry, it is a 3 season tent for backpackers and good reviews…. but the side walls cave in. Not for me but may be fine for others.

My wife and I are average size people, we could barely fit the both of us. The vestibule area is small as well, maybe good for 1 pack. Nice tent for 1 person and small child.
