  • Best DSI big screen on the market in my opinion
Responsive and great looking big screen for my Klipper based 3D printer connected to my RPI 4B although I could connect to my Octopus Pro as well

  • Fantastic addition for a Klipper 3D printer!
I was never much of a fan of touchscreens on printers in the past, largely because the interfaces were sub par. However Klipper Screen is pretty fantastic. I got a Voron kit that came with a 5" screen, and loved it. That is till I added the ERCF color changer. The extra screens for it were great, but a but dense. So moving up to a 7" display really made the printer and ERCF unit a joy to use. I have added these to all my Klipper based machines now. I do wish they came with a few extra screws, and a longer cable. Odds are you will need to source some alternates if you mount it any other way than with the Pi directly attached. ... show more

  • Great display, but heads up for Raspberry Pi 5 users
The display quality and responsiveness are great, but be aware if you are buying this for a Raspberry Pi 5. The included DSI cable is not compatible with the RPi 5 port. You will need to buy a separate 20-pin to 15-pin cable. Additionally, the orientation of the port makes the connection awkward; you have to twist the ribbon cable, which puts stress on it. Aside from the cable incompatibility, it’s a solid display. ... show more

  • It never worked.
I tried this on two different Raspberry Pi's and a CB1 but it never showed any signs of life.

  • Great Display with Some Configuration Hurdles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great Display with Some Configuration Hurdles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I recently purchased the BIGTREETECH Upgrade PI TFT70 TFT LCD Display for use with my Raspberry Pi 4 Model B and OctoDash, and overall, I'm quite pleased with it. The display itself is fantastic—bright, responsive, and boasting a crisp resolution that makes viewing details a pleasure. Once properly configured, it integrates seamlessly with the Raspberry Pi and enhances the user interface experience significantly. "However, the setup process was not without its challenges. Upon initial installation, I encountered an issue where the touchscreen functionality didn't work at all. After spending considerable time researching online forums and troubleshooting steps, I discovered that the problem lay in the driver configuration specified in /boot/config.txt." Specifically, the display requires a particular setup that wasn't initially clear. I found that commenting out the following line was necessary to enable proper touchscreen functionality: #dtoverlay=vc4-kms-v3d Once I made this adjustment and rebooted the Raspberry Pi, the touchscreen started working flawlessly with OctoDash ... show more
