I have 8 or 10 levels, all shapes and sizes, various qualities. I needed a 36" level for a few tasks, and I needed it fast. This level may last long enough to complete these tasks, but it does not appear to be durable. Time will tell. Often, with cheap levels, the plastic housings for the level bubbles pop out of the aluminum frame fairly soon, but if this level lasts a few weeks, it'll be fine for my purposes. The main problem was the packaging (zero protection for a sensitive device that is easily broken) and the fact that there were 5 stickers affixed to the level which all left very sticky residue. One large sticker was wrapped around the level (there can't be anything on the upper and lower surfaces); the others were stuck into the recessed area on one side. I had to use a lot of Goo Gone, and getting all the residue off took 20 minutes. One sticker said SHIP TO AMAZON.COM in Riverside, CA. So some or all of the stickers were probably affixed by whomever sent their inventory to Amazon's warehouse. ... show more

I don't know what happened but I went to use it and I noticed in the middle of the level was dented and bent. Now it's worthless. The whole idea of a level is to be level. THATS ITS JOB.....

    • You could do worse
It's very light, very easy to read from all angles, includes a ruler and cutout to sight it from the top. For the price, you could do worse - actually, I don't even know if that's technically accurate since just about everything else costs more anyway.
