I had been looking for a modern but classic replacement for the builder grade chandelier that came with our new home. I went back and forth between this one and a much more expensive one so my husband suggested getting them both and sending the one we liked least, back. Surprisingly, the more expensive one didn't hang the way I wanted it to and I didn't like it as much as I do this one so this one got to stay. This is a beautiful light. It was easy to install and it gives off a beautiful soft light in the dining room. It took 30 minutes to install. The only complaint, maybe include a picture on the box or instructions. A great value too. I like it better than my $300.

This is a fine fixture for the price. I have it on the shortest length and may lower it later. Two things: the shade makes it look cheap because while most of the fixture is brass, the metal in the shade is white. And the instructions are awful - incomprehensible.
