This desk is a beautiful cherry wood color and matched my cherry and iron daybed I ordered from Amazon years ago. It is very roomy and wide. I will say that the drawer had a dent/scratch but I am hoping to use a furniture touch up pen to take care of it. My husband said the holes were drilled too large when putting it together but he was able to make it work. It's a beautiful desk with a smooth top. I left off the piece that attaches to to back of the legs to give my legs more room. No problems with stability. I searched for 6 months for the perfect desk. I measured the space before I ordered it. It fits perfectly. It is more of a cherry finish than expresso, but I was aware of that from previous reviews. The issue I had which makes it only 4 stars is that one side of the desk had holes in which to shore up the leg, in which you insert screws. The holes were way off. Very pleased with this beautiful desk. Easy to assemble. Solid and sturdy. Only problem, the delivery truck delivered it to our neighbor. Fortunately another neighbor asked around to a number of us and found we were the correct owners of the package. Happy ending despite the messed up delivery.
