I got these for installing welded wire and goat fencing around the property. They work wonderfully as a single tool option for the project. After installing all of my t-posts all I needed to set my fencing was my wire that was going to bind the fence to the t-posts and this one tool which is great for simplicity. I'm able to snip my wire to the length I'll need to go around the fence and the T-post, pull the ends close with the head, and then clamp down and twist all the slack out of my wire and secure the fence. And I do it all without changing tools. The hammerhead on it is convenient to a degree but not some thing I'm really gonna end up using because if I'm setting staples into a fence I'm gonna have a more dedicated hammer; but in the case where you're checking on fencing the hammerhead does come in as a useful option if that's the tool that you have with you. I've already put in over 2300 feet of fencing without any discomfort from making this the only tool I was using the whole time. It's a very specific tool that you would likely only ever have because you install a lot of fencing but in that scenario it's perfect. Quality wise it's comfortable, great action, and I expect as long as I care for it like I do all my tools I'm still gonna be using it after thousands of feet more fencing installed. ... show more

These Linemans Dykes are decently priced and should last me for years with occasional use. I have a few other tools from Denali, and this tool is a good addition to those tools. No complaints so far. I've been using them around the house.

Side by side the design is almost identical to my 20+ year old channel lock linesman pliers. The quality of these seems good, everything feels tight and the action is smooth. The jaws spring open consistently. The cutting edges are sharp and have no problem with tie/bailing wire and they are able to cut a 16 penny nail without too much effort which is my go to test for a set of cutting pliers.
