I can find a washer to replace the one that was missing in the package. The assembler had one job to do, included 4 washers and 4 screws and they blew it! After I find a washer and complete the assembly I can update this review. It looks sturdy enough. It is sturdy so raised the vote by 2 so long as you provide all the parts in future orders.

THE GOOD - 1. Puts together easy, parts are solid (no flex). If you want this for a small LCD monitor it is perfect. Just NOTE there's not a lot of depth (26cm/10in)... 2. This also makes a decent "lap stand" to protect your legs from a warm laptop. In this case the 2 "legs" of the stand probably float freely meaning the shelf sits on your thighs. This is not uncomfortable. THE BAD - 1. This is subjective: depth is not that much, 26cm/10in, but the rubber feet are indented FURTHER about 1.5in inwards. Meaning if you put anything tall on this (or something w/ high center of gravity) there will be a tendency to "rock backwards" a little bit, if you bump or shake it. For example I put an old 11" CRT monitor on, and dimensionally it fits the shelf without any overhang. But if I bump it, or grab the monitor and twist up/down (to adjust viewing angle) it almost wants to fall over. I wouldn't suggest attempting this with any larger monitor such as 14" etc. POSSIBLE IMPROVEMENTS: Squared legs, so they fully contact the surface you place it on at the full width of depth, would be more stable even at the same depth.

I use a 32" monitor and because I am visually impaired I need to have it close. The monitor they got for me at work does not have an adjustable height stand and the bottom of the screen is too low for me. Also, to get it close, I would prefer to have the keyboard underneath the monitor so I can bring the monitor more forward on my desk. This stand is perfect. I can fit my full-size keyboard completely underneath the stand and have enough vertical height for my hands to type without hitting the tops of my hands against the underside of the stand. My 32" monitor fits on top and I can pull the whole stand forward to the front of my desk so I can get the monitor close enough. The height is good so now I can easily see the bottom corners of the screen; however, now the top corners are slightly high (I have to look up at them) but this is all because I have to keep the monitor so close. Given a choice, I'd rather have comfortable viewing of the bottom of the screen as opposed to the top corners. If the stand were 1/2 inch lower, that might be good but then I would begin to have a problem of not enough space for my hands to type underneath the stand. This stand is very sturdy. It feels solid and does not wobble for move at all. I tried some of the wire mesh stands and they were not wide enough to fit my keyboard underneath, and they also did not feel solid. Some of them had adjustable height but I believe that contributed to their feeling of un-sturdyness. Assembly was fairly easy with using the 4 bolts, washers, and included allen wrench. There are also 4 sticky padded feet to put on the bottom so the metal feet won't damage your desk surface. I would recommend this stand. Especially if you need to keep your monitor close and be able to put your keyboard beneath your monitor and type. But even if you don't, the stand is sturdy and looks great on the desk. I have the black version but you can also get it with a wood grain finish. Once again, Amazon Basics hits it out of the park with a good design, just what's needed, and no extra frills.
