The paper is an excellent value for money. I use the paper for acrylic paint. I use it mostly with a coat of gesso, but sometimes I just paint on it as is. When used with acrylics it is very good. It buckles a little bit but that is something easy to correct. For how todo this flattening I refer to YouTube for videos about this subject. I used water soluble crayons on it and the result was good. But I never used it for watercolors. Summarizing a good value for money for my application. ... show more

I don't have too much experience with water colors, but I find this paper acceptable for the price. The paper warps more than I like, but have nothing to compare it to. Not to go on too big of a tangent, but we tend to recommend poor quality materials as "beginner" grade, but I think the opposite is probably true. Beginners need the best quality materials to get the hang of things, and it's experts who can cope with poorer quality. but why would they? That's my 2 cents. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Perfect size booklet for beginners to get started in watercolor. I like the thickness and durability of this paper. Sometimes to make a book last longer I will do smaller projects and cut each page in half. Especially when I'm working with kids and they like to go fast, it just makes the booklet last longer. But overall I'm pleased with the paper quality! ... show more

I like that the binding on this pad allows for the cover to pull away for easy removal of a sheet of the paper. The paper has a nice texture for grabbing ink, but so much that it will pool or cause streaking. The pages are adequately thick, which I prefer. The book does come in an outer box, I was worried the pages would be loose. I will update this review once I have used it more. Overall, delighted with this purchase. ... show more
