I bought this to record songs on my computer, just vocals no instruments. It works well, although I cannot sing into it straight on, it sounds tinny. If I set it off to the side, the right or the left, about a foot away, that seems to be the optimum spot. Not the best mike but you can't beat the price. Great starter mic until you figure out what you might really need. I used it successfully with Zoom. I tried it for voice calls, Google voice and Samsung phone link, on second try it worked fine. It seems to need to adjust itself to the distance between the mic and my mouth. Initially, I was getting complaints about an echo but now my clients tell me they can hear me fine. More testing is required. ... show more

This streaming microphone is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for great sound quality and ease of use. The compact size and sturdy build make it perfect for any setup, and the connection is stable and reliable. I love how it looks and the material. The sound is crystal clear, my friend said so I was so happy about it. Even in noisy environments, the microphone effectively filters out background noise. Absolutely Garbage. It worked for about 20 min and then couldn’t be recognized by my pc after that (the mute unmute button also didn’t work). I rebooted my pc. I tried different usb ports on my pc. I checked all my sound drivers for updates. I tried a know good USB-A to C cable aside from the one the mic came with. DO NOT BUY Amazon basics in the tech category, they are not there yet.     • Disappointing Sound Quality
I purchased this mic to do video recordings / voice-overs and unfortunately the sound quality was very lacking for that kind of work. It would be good for online meetings and such, where sound quality isn't very important, but for the price much better microphones are available. I ended up getting a fifine A6T for a few dollars more, and the difference in sound quality is astonishing. I usually love amazonbasics products, but this mic could really use some refinement. ... show more
