Needed curtain rods for the patio curtains in my living room. They were easy to install and work great. Perfect for a rented apartment since there’s no need to drill holes. Very happy with the purchase!

I bought this adjustable tension rod for a totally non-traditional use — to hang holiday décor above my front door. It ended up working perfectly. The rod is sturdy, easy to adjust, and strong enough to hold a full garland without bowing or slipping. Installation took maybe a minute. Twist, press, and it locked in securely. I’ve opened and closed the door multiple times and the rod hasn’t budged at all. The matte black finish also blends in nicely and doesn’t look cheap up close. If you’re decorating, hanging curtains, or just need a reliable tension rod that won’t fall on your head at 2 a.m., this one does exactly what it should. Pros: • Very sturdy — holds heavier décor without slipping • Easy to adjust and install • Blends in nicely with most trim • Doesn’t damage the walls or door frame Cons: • None so far — does the job perfectly Highly recommend for both practical and decorative uses.

OK, I should probably give this five stars, but. I like the finish, it adjusts easily, stays in place, holds the curtain easily; but when I took it out of the box it made a cheap-sounding noise (from the loose adjustment components inside) which made it seem flimsy. Once mounted, it makes no noise of course, and it's good for the purpose, not flimsy. So, to be fair, maybe minus 1/100th of a star for the fact that there's the tiny bump in the rod where the slightly smaller inner tube fits in to the slightly larger outer tube.

When I first received the Amazon Basics Shower Curtain Tension Rod, I must admit I was a bit nervous. It appeared thinner than I had anticipated, and I wondered if it would hold up to the demands of daily use as a shower curtain rod. However, after four months of use, I'm pleased to report that it has exceeded my expectations. Despite its slender appearance, this tension rod has proven to be incredibly sturdy and reliable. It effortlessly supports the weight of my shower curtain without any signs of bending or sagging. The adjustable length feature allowed me to customize it to fit my shower perfectly, providing a snug and secure fit. I appreciate the sleek black finish, which adds a touch of modern elegance to my bathroom decor. It seamlessly blends in with the overall aesthetic and doesn't detract from the appearance of the shower curtain. What impresses me most is its durability. Despite being subjected to the moisture and humidity of the shower environment on a daily basis, this tension rod shows no signs of wear or corrosion. It's holding up exceptionally well, proving to be a reliable fixture in my bathroom. In conclusion, the Amazon Basics Shower Curtain Tension Rod may appear thinner than expected, but don't let that deceive you. It's a surprisingly sturdy and reliable option that has stood the test of time in my bathroom. If you're in need of a dependable shower curtain rod that won't disappoint, look no further than this one.
