    • For the last few months the quality is down and these bags are splitting at the seams.

I have been using this particular brand of trash bags for the last couple years and they've always been great... Up until recently anyway! Normally they are strong, reliable, smell good and don't split at the seams. About 9 months ago I noticed a drastic change in the quality. At this point it is about half and half... I would say 5 bags out of every 10 that I'm opening are splitting at the seams. As soon as I go to put them into the trash can they split at the top ruining the tie - making them impossible to tie closed! Unfortunately with the cost of trash bags I can't see myself throwing half of them away. So I'm going to be switching to another brand. I could see if this had just been one package... I would have assumed it was a manufacturing defect. Which is exactly what I did the first couple boxes I opened like this. The first one I just threw away thinking it was a defect. But then the second box was the same thing... and the third, the fourth and so on. I guess I'm going back to Glad because even though they are a little more expensive I'm not throwing half of them out... So I guess they are cheaper in the long run. I hope that Amazon can resolve this issue because normally these are great trash bags. But the fact that they are splitting half of the time when used on a normal Walmart 13 gallon plastic trash can... Well that's unacceptable. ... show more
