I bought this for my 2nd grader. It is not too big for his age group. The zipper got stuck on the flap that folds over the zipper. Keep that flap folded back to avoid this. It’s okay for the price.

The bookbag was thick but not very durable. My son tore up this bookbag in 2 weeks top. It was a hole in the bottom and the zipper started to jam after the first week.

This backpack by far exceeded my expectations. Colors are vibrant, seems durably and the price was right. The inside pocket is a nice feature. Plus, it's a bonus that they didn't put the Amazon Basic logo anywhere. My 1st grader couldn't be happier with it, he brings it everywhere with him.

I bought two of these for my twin 5 year olds. They needed them for kindergarten and they do the job. The material is a little thin but not so much that I feel it's going to fall apart. Even has a section for tablets/laptops. Like I said these were for kids so the price is right.
