I expected it to look like a comforter for a dorm room. It was full of static so I recommend planning ahead and leaving time to wash it before using. The colors weee nice a bright. Sometimes black can be a weird shade. But both sides were nice colors. This is great for people who want a comforter like bead spread year round. I really like how lightweight it is. I feel like it will be one of those blankets that are nice and cool to lay with while the air conditioning is on and warm and comforting when it’s 20 degrees outside. The price was reasonable for a full/queen and it’s definitely big enough for a queen. As long as it washes up nicely I think it’s one of my favorite buys. I may buy another for the Airbnb. It's definitely cute and is super soft. Overall, amazing quality. It's not as thick as I was hoping for in a comforter so I still use something under/over it during the winter time. It's a perfect temperature during hot months and even the fall when it's a little chilly. It's lightweight and won't overheat you during the warmer seasons. Only thing I wish it had was a bit more insulation to keep me warmer during the winter. You won't be shivering or freezing with this, but for those who like to be balled up warm under their blankets, this needs a little help in that area! It's easy to wash to. I’ve had this same comforter before, about 5 years ago before I moved out of the country, and I moved back like 3 years ago. I bought it again because I remember liking how durable and comfortable this comforter is, breathable but warm. I’ve been using a duvet with a black cover for a little while, and while the duvet is nice and thick and cozy, the fact of the matter is both the duvet and the cover were in terrible shape, and the king size duvet cover still felt too small for the queen size duvet somehow (unless I was given a different size duvet than it said on the label). I got rid of those because it was bugging me how it fit on the bed, and the fact that it didn’t stay decent for long. This comforter is so much easier to wash anyway, and I’m really glad I re-bought it. Washed it a few days ago, so it smells like fresh laundry. Laying on it right now, and ahhh 😌 that’s so much better! I definitely recommend this comforter!! It’s not fancy hotel quality or anything, but, it’s really nice for the home if you’re looking for something affordable, but decent quality. ... show more

I ordered - AmazonBasics Reversible Microfiber Comforter - Full/Queen, Black AmazonBasics Reversible Microfiber Comforter - Twin/Twin XL, Burgundy I bought this for our ‘teens’ room. We have 3 in/out of the house. My boyfriends 2 kids and my nephew, however not often all together. So we have 2 beds one full and one twin. I was trying to find a color pallet that everyone would be ok with. The black/burgundy seemed like a nice fit. All bedding was Amazon Basics bedding. I did the burgundy sheets on the full bed with the black comforter. And the black sheets and burgundy comforter on the twin bed. My hope in ordering all within one manufacture that the color scheme would match. Not quite so. As you can see the color of the sheets vs. the color of the comforter is different. The sheets have a nice deep color, whereas the comforter is a dull rather unhappy color. It seemed so in the pictures online, but I know that sometimes the color hue can vary with online. So I was hoping they both being Amazon Basics that they would match. Not so. Comforter Black (full): AmazonBasics Reversible Microfiber Comforter - Full/Queen, Black Comforter Burgundy (twin): AmazonBasics Reversible Microfiber Comforter - Twin/Twin XL, Burgundy Sheets Black (twin): AmazonBasics Microfiber Sheet Set - Twin, Black Sheets Burgundy (full): AmazonBasics Microfiber Sheet Set - Full, Burgundy I purchased Amazon Basics ALSO because I have high standards of Amazon brand products and have never been let down … until now. Believe the other reviewers. I have washed the sheets, but not the comforters yet. My fear in this is so far both sets of sheets have had pulls in the first wash. After seeing some of the other reviews about the comforters I am afraid to even wash them … now I am left in a pickle. I can’t return the sheets … should I bother with the comforters or just suck it up until they are unusable and go Walmart brand with next round (which has never let me down before). Would I recommend … probably not unless this was more for a disposable thing. If you were looking for a cheap one/few time use item, then maybe. It depends on again your purpose. If you want it for daily use, you may want to rethink. I will update should I have any changes as the kids use. My hope is that we have them weekends and so I will get some life out of my money spent. Pros: beautiful deep color on sheets soft feel Fits correctly Cons: pulling after first wash (sheets) Color doesn’t match comforter (more comforter issue than sheet) [burgundy only] I do quite a bit of my shopping online, particularly at Amazon, so like you I depend on reviews to be honest so I can make an informed decision. ALL of my reviews are on products I purchased on Amazon, I have never reviewed an item I did not personally buy ON Amazon. So, I hope this has been helpful for your shopping needs.
