Just buy these already. Good price, I got the 4 pack, they seem tough, and they have handles. I live in a small town and making a drive to get affordable groceries is a thing. I live in a small tourist town were food is expensive. With a good insulated bag, and a few of these you can get your refrigerated and frozen items on the hottest days and there is no rush. Also these are thin so you can put them up against the side of your bag or container or lay them flat. Either way they don’t take up too much space. The very first time I used these ice packs I Wondered why my soft drink cans were all slimy. Emptied the contents out of my cooler to find a bunch of slime in the bottom of it.. Threw them in the trash.

    • Stayed frozen for 3+ days in my cooler

These ice packs are great! I really like the handle incorporated into the design. I froze my packs for 72 hours before using for the first time. Each pack bubbled a bit, and all in the same area. Not sure if this will affect the longevity of these, hopefully not. (I also purchased some Rubbermaid blue ice packs, and they also bubbled when frozen the first time...not sure why the manufacturers of blue ice packs don't squeeze some of the air out before capping them, seems like it would prevent the bubbling). These were in an Igloo marine cooler in 95+ degree weather for 4 days at Lake Powell. Family of 4 opening regularly for food & drinks all day long each day. It was only on the 4th day that I noticed the blue ice starting to melt...but was still mostly solid when we left. I was impressed. Also, these were used at the top of my cooler to deflect the hot air that gets in every time the cooler is opened, so they were exposed to hot air frequently. I can only assume this product is set on auto-destruct. After very light usage and no rough handling, just three days after I passed the 30-day window for returning them, one of the blocks started to leak blue fluid into my cooler. VERY disappointed. Usually Amazon Basics products are great. These, not so much. SAD. ... show more

When these arrived they were larger than I expected, which is my bad since the dimensions were clearly written in the description. They freeze up very quickly and hold the freeze for the day with no troubles at all. I’m using them in a thermal travel tote and they work fantastic in fact I only really need one to keep the tote at a cold enough temp to travel for a 10 hour day out. The quality is spot on, these are not cheaply made, they are strong. Would purchase again and highly recommend. ... show more

I usually don't do negative reviews but these packs are not good! It's not even summer yet in California and these packs were already melted before noon. Additionally, they don't get cold, they are just cool. I have a Pelican that is partially frozen still at the end of the day in summer, it's just too big for my cooler. Bummed about these, should have been a perfect fit. The five stars for thickness is because the packs are as thick as any other and don't cool. ... show more

After reading some reviews about it leaking, I was a bit hesitant. I’m glad I purchased it anyway. The packs are great especially if you live in the hot and humid region and are also far away from the store like I am. It’s been really hot here in the south and I live at least 40 min from the nearest store. I’ve been looking for alternatives to using ice because of waste and the mess. I used these packs today for a full day in the heat and I had in there dairy and meat products. The packs did not even melt ... show more

I've had a 40qt coleman standard cooler for probably more than a decade, and I just recently purchased the coleman 40qt thermoelectric cooler for road trips (to eliminate ice usage), and these ice packs fit PERFECTLY in both coolers. The thermoelectric cooler even has some mounts for a shelf that you can move up and down, and these ice packs fit perfectly on those shelf mounts (I wouldn't put much weight on them, but they do a good job dividing up food you want to keep at various temperatures. ... show more
