Update 10/3/21: After my last update I decided to look at the breakdown of the walls. I was able to uncover the seat and add some glue to the joints (where the collapse had occurred) and it gave the booster another year of use. If that’s all it takes to have kept it going for as long as it did then I’m happy. My pup loved his seat and his ability to see the world as he traveled! Worth the money. 👍👍 Update 8/3/20: My pup has used this car seat faithfully, almost daily. It has finally bit the dust. The seat cushion has deteriorated to where there is no cushion left. One of the sides has collapsed and gives no support. I feel like I got my monies worth at the $45 I paid back then. But I won’t rebuy for the $69 as listed now. I wanted a seat for my pup that would give him room to lay down but also be able to stand and see out while with me in the car. This booster is perfect and my pup LOVES, LOVES, LOVES it!! All I do is open the car door and tell him to “get in (his) seat” and he hops right in and waits for me to latch him up! Great purchase! I will say that I don’t use the clasps that come with the seat as they seem a little cheesy. I have a different harness system I use that loops around the head rest. Works great with the booster!

I was so pleased when I opened the box and saw how comfy the booster seat looked. At first I didn't think there were any illustrations showing how to properly install the seat. I noticed other people thought the same thing I did...that the safety belt is only attached to the fabric. And it seems just like me a lot of people are trying to feed their car seatbelt all of the way through the bottom of the booster seat Wrong! I finally skipped all of the way to the back of the little booklet behind all of the instructions if different languages and found the illustration boy was I happy because I really liked the seat. It shows how to feed your seatbelt into the opening and up under the removable cushion and through the safety strap and then back down through the opening and back out to attach seat belt. See my picture it better explains. Once the seat belt is fed correctly through the booster seat your dog cannot come out of it and it will now be safe. I hope this helps. It is a very nice car seat. My Westie loved it the first time we went out. She had plenty of room and was very comfy. Please use a HARNESS AND NOT YOUR DOGS COLLAR with any of these car seats. If you stop suddenly your dog will be severly injured!!!!!

This car seat surprised and impressed me with its quality and nice features -- all at a very reasonable price! My Frenchie loves it and took to it immediately -- it has 2 safety tethers to secure him in, but he never attempts to get out and really loves looking out the windows. If he gets sleepy, it's roomy enough for him to snuggle down, but usually he just rests his head on the side. And, as a bonus, the color is perfect for my Jeep, which has a cream colored interior. I've been using it for a few months now and it shows no sign of wear -- I'm SO happy with this purchase!

Our Havanese loves her car seat. We use in in our truck where she can sit high and we out. Connect it with ties under the console. The only problem is I bought a smaller lease the goes around the head rest then you can clip it to her harness. The one in the seat would just come out and not secure her. Not safe, Other than that it’s great

We initially got this almost a year ago for a 12 hour cross country move and have since used it all the time! Our boy is a 13 lb chi mix with short legs and not only is this super cozy for him (he regularly falls asleep in it both in the car and out of the car haha) but it gives him just enough boost to be able to stand and be able to see out the window. We just combine it with a seatbelt that hooks around the headrest and to his harness. For being an Amazon basics one didn’t have huge expectations but it’s been super helpful!

My Westy, Fred, Absolutely loves his new seat. I have it installed on the front seat and he can ride next to me. It raises them up a little higher so he can see you around and the way the bucket is designed it makes him feel cozy and secure. I travel frequently back-and-forth to my daughter’s family about two hours away and he used to get stressed in the car leaving now I had a dog bed and blanket in the backseat and another little blanket on the front seat now he takes the trip very comfortably and is very happy to either watch as the country travels by or take a little nap. And has made the traveling back-and-forth so much more pleasant and makes me feel more safI travel frequently back-and-forth to my daughters family about two hours away and he used to get stressed in the car even though I had a dog bed and blanket in the backseat and another little blanket on the front seat now he takes the trip very comfortably and is very happy to either watch as the country travels by or take a little nap. I absolutely LOVE this thing. I felt so silly buying a big purchase like this for a small rescue puppy that i didnt know anything about and had zero training in. I may have hit the puppy lottery, but she loves being in it and i didnt even have to train her to use it. She curls up and naps in it for the whole ride. We have trucks and suvs in my family so this carseat helps prop her up to window height when she’s feeling curious too. Its sturdy, but still soft enough for her to find it comfy and safe in the event of a real car accident. I see a significant difference between when my father takes her in the truck without this seat, and when shes buckled in it in mine….she is less nauseous and more confident. This seat has been a lifesaver for my weekly roadtrips to familys houses, pet stores, and adventures. The ONLY bad thing i have to say about it is that the seatbelt that comes built-in it sucks. If you were to slam the breaks with a dog clipped in, the whole pillow insert would fly out and send the dog flying with it. I read reviews about that issue before buying and also purchased a seatbelt that attaches to the headrest to fix the issue and it works perfect paired together.
