This sand is very moldable and fun! It is a crumbly, powdered texture compared to Kinetic sand so not really compatible with the sand itself. The tools and molds work though. This still is a very fun product! As for mess, it can get messy. As it's not as sticky I guess, it can be harder to clean up. My toddler loves this in her sensory bin though, we will play for a long time making and destroying things! ... show more

Different texture and harder. I had to break clumps up. I bought extra kinetic sand so I mixed all together. But I wouldn't buy this again.

The tools are great but the sand is not as nice as the real Kinetic Sand. My kids have the namebrand natural sand and we played with both. This sand does flow as freely and holds it a more solid shape which makes it work better with the castle molds. But it doesn’t rake or move as well as the Kinetic sand, it’s firmer. ... show more
