I have a bachelors in music & played professionally for about 40 years. Retired & sold my horns. 30 years later at 85 YO I purchased this tenor sax & was I surprised at the quality. great sound with a metal mouth piece (dukoff take off) great horn well worth the money.

    • Affordable starter instrument
Buttons are nice, decent sound quality with a better mouthpiece. Octave keyconstantly gets bent, and G# key constantly stick. G key not fully sealed from day one, paid $75 for repairs. So if your kid is interested in tenor sax this is a good one to get as a low cost of entry.

I've been playing alto sax for 30 years. Just started playing a tenor also. This sax would sound better, with a better mouthpiece . This is mgt 1st tenor. But the sound reality is dark, smooth, very easy to blow . Would highly recommend for beginner- intermediate.

I bought this saxophone for my son on his second year doing band, I figure is probably better to buy than keep renting. I received the saxophone no problem, I thought the price was good, the first day my son took it to school I had the teacher calling me to let me know the saxophone seemed faulty , it was not playing correctly , luckily I was able to get it replaced, so I got same model and had the same thing happen, one of the keys were vent there phone it would not play right. I hate doing bad reviews I know it hurts business but I was also hoping the second time around I was going to get something better . I ended up getting a different brand and paying more money. ... show more

Amazing, high quality product with a beautiful sound, especially amazing considering it was $420. Fast shipping, and the product is exactly whats shown in the picture. Just remember to clean every once in a while, of course. Overall, worth the money and then some!

This tenor came in condition. My daughter has been playing sax for 3 year in jazz band marching and concert band in high school. She said the sound is awesome. I had to return it because she has small hand and had difficult reaching some of the keys

Love it. I was so excited to receive it today, a day early! When younger I chose the trombone, after being told the sax section was full. Im happy to fulfill my initial desire now, 20 years later. It seems like one bar is a lil rusted or something, but overall, so far, so good.
