I lent my regular carry-on bag to my niece for a trip to florida. Of course when she came back, she forgot to bring the bag. The hassle of having it shipped back, made no sense. So I purchased this soft side luggage, that was actually recommended, by consumer reports as a basic inexpensive alternative. For the price I would say the quality of the material is decent, not super thick or plush. I suspect if it were checked too many times it might break down. However, I never check bags, so it will do fine inside the plane. I give it five stars because the zippers seem to open easily and nothing is snagging. I do believe it will hold the material I need for at least a week's worth of travel. It meets what I call the basic value equivalent. One thing, this bag only has two wheels on it. I bought this for my dad who is in his 80’s to use on a trip home. It was great for him because of the rolling component and size of the bass was perfect. The additional duffel was also very nice. Do not buy this. I didn’t notice it’s only a 2 wheel instead of a 4 wheel. The thing tips over when it’s packed. It was the most ridiculous situation going through the airport with this thing that couldn’t hold itself upright and didn’t move smoothly getting to the gate. The 2 wheels it does have are fixed, not swivel. So the maneuverability was zero. Returning and saw that I’m not even getting a full refund? $36 instead of the $56 I paid.
