I use to to support a CPAP hose which can swing out while in use or away during the day. The clamp on the base is better than a more expensive versions. The last joint (for the mic itself) is a bit weak, but the arm itself is able to be put out far enough to make that a minor concern. The metal arms are very thin and I suspect if I needed to change the angles often it may break before too long, but the swivel looks like it will last for years. (I hope).

not as flexible or adjustable as the preview images suggest, until there is the weight of a microphone being used on it. i'm a newbie so i'm not sure if that's by design, but i was frustrated for the first few minutes trying to figure out why it seemed like a spring-loaded death trap that didn't wanna stay where i bent it. i eventually got the hang of things, and all things considered, this works fine enough for me, for now, for the cost, as i learn some things about how to use audio equipment. durability out of the box feels fine, but time will tell. i'll be happy if it lasts me long enough to figure out if i need something different or if more of the same will suffice. good enough for me, for now.

I bought this arm for my music studio. I had a similar one that broke after a few months. This one though is sturdier and higher quality. It's definitely a great value for the money. It took me less than five minutes to install and it works well with the new mics I got (two Shure SM58). I like the wide screen and the range it covers. I also appreciate that it comes with a metallic bolt for the mics and not only with the plastic one. I'm giving it a 5-stars after a few days using it and not having any complains.

After buying my Blue Yeti Microphone, I completely forgot to get it a Boom Arm, but I'm glad to say this easily met my needs. Not too big, not too small, and gives more than plenty of room to work with. That being said, I plan to use this for a while.

I am extremely disappointed in this boom arm. It had good reviews and looked to be a great solution to add a microphone set-up for a limited hobby engagement in doing voiceovers for a non-commerical radio station and occasional podcast. My microphone is not especially heavy (a hype mic) and while the two main arm springs seemed to have adequate support, the weak point is the single threaded nut that holds the entire assembly to the desk mount; it's held by friction only - no threaded connector to firmly secure the arm to the desk mount. And this is the part that gave, sending the entire assembly crashing into my desk. Luckily it was a short drop and none of my audio gear was damaged. Recommend to avoid.

the Range of motion is fine. My biggest gripe though is even after fully tightening all the hardware; and we cranked on that thing, the mic did not want to stay in place. it kept rising because of the spring tension, and am not using a light mic setup, 1.2 pounds with the mount, much higher than the minimum. So I eventually had to disassemble and and manually stretch out both top and 1 bottom spring so it would stay in place. but Its cheap and I think that its probably better to have stronger than weaker springs

The only big gripe I have is the metal base post is not strong enough and will bend, making it not able to rotate on the base. Could be fixed by inserting a wooden dowel or something in it to make it more sturdy. But that being said, once you have it in place, you most likely not got to rotate it on the base, but just adjust the boom arm. *So I did a return, which was fast and easy. I ended up using JB Weld Steel Putty to fill the stamped steel part, making it more ridged. Seems to be sturdier.* The JB Weld Steel Putty seems to be working great at reinforcing it
