  • Really good for the price
I can't find a bad thing to say about this stand so far. It's a well made A-Frame stand perfect for an acoustic guitar. I have read some reviews about the possibility of your guitar sliding off but I think may be a problem with heavier electric axes. Before this stand I would just lean my guitar against a book case or the couch if it wasn't in it's case. Get one and try it out, you have a month to return it if it doesn't work for you. ... show more

  • Iffy for electrics, fantastic for acoustics
The base really shines with acoustic guitars, or other guitar body styles where the body itself is large and tall enough so that the pad at the apex of the A-frame is supporting the guitar body. Guitars with smaller bodies, including most electrics, don't have tall enough bodies, so the A-frame apex support pad supports the guitar either at the neck joint or on the neck itself. Given that many neck joints and necks are rounded, coupled with the fact that many electric guitars are asymmetrical, leads to potentially very precarious balance issues. Additionally, smaller body guitars sit very, very deep in the stand -- uncomfortably so, in some cases. When on the stand the bottom of my Yamaha TRBX304 bass was literally less than an inch off the ground, as was my ESP EC1300 (like a Les Paul). It is possible to get the bottom off the ground higher by using one of the narrower A-frame positions, but that makes balance even more precarious because the legs are closer together. Couple that with the fact it's the back of the neck on the pad, the situation is just worse. So, long story short, if you want to use this to support a traditional acoustic / classical guitar, then you'll love it. It's super sturdy, and the back pad has a bit of rubbery friction which keeps the guitar surprisingly secure even without the upper neck support of tripod stands. I would stay away if you have electrics, however. Not just from this particular stand but from any A-stands altogether unless the A-stand has a separate neck support, too (but even then, I would be wary of the guitar sitting too low in the stand). Other things -- the stand itself feels good in hand. It has a nice heft and sturdiness to it. The rubber grippy foot things appear tough, and are nice and long, with grooves that run along the axis of the foot which helps the stand / feet from moving side to side. The finish has a bit of a satin look, and overall the standard looks good. The latch mechanism is metal and seems well constructed. It is easy to fold and folds down to a flat shape, but it's not exactly light. Might be too big to fit in even a large gig bag pocket. ... show more

  • Very Impressed, More Sturdy Than Expected
This stand exceeded my expectations. The 2 parallel feet make it more sturdy than the taller stands with 3 feet which hold the neck in a U-shaped cradle. Plus it's easier to put in/pull out than that other style of guitar stand and it looks better, too (b/c it's low and blocked by guitar). Works especially well for full-size, dreadnought acoustics and also good for electrics. My Les Paul style sits better against top back rest, than my Strat style guitar, but strat is fine on this stand (but took 1 point off for this). Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Sturdy guitar stand
Sturdy enough to hold an electric guitar but big enough to hold an acoustic. Also easy to fold when transporting or not in use so it doesn't take up a lot of room when you're not using it. I like this item and the price was good. Good job Amazon.

  • Perfect for Electric Longboards
Eskate companies sell a very similar product but for two to three times the price. These are perfect to hold your electric skateboard so that it takes up minimal room while charging. Will be getting more for my other boards.

  • Works perfect
I had a concern from another reviewer that you instrument just may not be stable while in this stand. But I dont have that issue at all. It works great for me, and does exactly what I intended it for. My Ibanez 305 looks great on it.

  • A-Frame Guitar stand
What I like about this product is that would put my electric guitar on there. I used it to store my electric guitar when not in its case.

  • Great adjustable stand for little money!
I really like this style of stand- puts no stree on the neck of the guitar and it is fully adjustable to fit a wide range of guitar bodies. Very satisfied!
