It works and my TV is now hanging on it. It is super low profile. Very close to wall so TV must sit perfectly flat in the bracket. It's a very simple bracket and not the sturdiest I've ever hung. The choice of TV mounting screws is limited and they didn't have the ones I needed.

I'd be cautious hanging a 40" TV, with this particularly a heavy one or where it might get bumped. But it's just fantastic for the 24" monitor I needed to mount. Good hardware included (screws, washers, spacers), packed well, has instructions. Wall side has two mounting holes. Lag screws included. As always get those solidly into a stud! TV side hangs on a lip to the wall side with a spring loaded pin to hold it on. Not unusual and pin is not weight bearing. I'd have liked the lip to fit a little more tightly to allow less play when assembled but that's my only gripe.

The only problem with this is that the mount fits over the plugs on the back of the tv and it is difficult to hang the tv with the hdmi cord plugged in. I did find a work around though. I installed this in my crafting shed. I love how easy it is to take the small tv down and bring it inside the house. Very convenient.

The mount itself is fine and certainly affordable, however, make sure there is a mounting stud directly behind the center of this mount or it won't work. I had to return it and get one with a flexible arm in order to properly install in a specific narrow space. If your space is wide open and you are flexible, and don't need to pivot or adjust viewing angle, you should be ok with this one.

I used it to hang a piece of surfboard art I made - it's between 30 and 40 pounds, and the mount holds it to the wall perfectly.

The mount does the job of holding my 10lb screen on the wall, but it wont tightly secure once you set the locking mechanism in place. It will wobble. If you don't touch the TV unless necessary, it does work fine. I would definitely NOT recommend trying a heavy television on this mount. If you forked over some good cash for a quality television, buy a better quality mount.
