We've cycled through poop bags from Petco, PetSmart, Target, and Walmart, and honestly most were thin and flimsy. They occasionally ripped, and the smell always leaked through when we opened our Diaper Genie (yes, we use one for poop bags, don't judge lol). This brand has been a genuine upgrade. At around $0.03 a bag, it's already a great price, and each box even comes with a free bag holder. They're not the thickest bags out there, but thick enough that we've never had a rip, and smell containment is way better as long as you tie it tight and you barely notice it in the Diaper Genie. We went with the unscented version and have no complaints. Bonus: these bags are big. With 2 corgis, we can fit both dogs' business in a single bag. Efficiency win. Budget-friendly pick that actually delivers on "leak proof" with solid thickness, good odor control, and generously sized. Great value if you're tired of paying more for bags that still rip or smell.

The Amazon Basics Dog Poop Leak Proof Bags do exactly what they are supposed to do. They are a simple, affordable option for picking up after your dog and have worked well for everyday use. The bags are strong enough for the job, and I have not had any issues with leaks or tearing. For something you use for a quick cleanup and throw away, these provide a good value and are convenient to have on hand. My only complaint is that they can sometimes be a little difficult to open. Other than that, they work as expected and are a good option if you are looking for affordable, reliable dog waste bags.

I’m sure all dog owners know, not all dog poop bags are created equal. Well these actually are the best ones. I’ve found on Amazon so far. They are thick, they tear easily. My only complaint is if you keep using them, you wind up collecting a bunch of those dispensers they include with every box. But I have a dozens of brands and these are still the best for the quality and the price.

These Amazon Basics bags are cheap, leak-proof, and tear off the roll without a fight—pretty much everything you could ask for on a daily walk. They’re a bit on the thin side, but for the price and bulk amount, they get the job done reliably every time.

These bags are really great in terms of price. What I love the most is the quality of the bags. I have a large dog and I love that even with the plants on the grass, I can easily scoop his poop without any tear. It also leaves extra space to tie the bag which I love. Its stability is what holds it together and it’s an ease to use. Very environmentally friendly as well as it won’t tear easily. I’m on my third purchase of this box and it lasts me months!!!

Work great! We have a mini dachshund puppy and these are just the right size. Also seem to hold up well, no ripping, seem to keep the poo scent away and easily fit into any of the poop bag carriers we have for the leashes!

The Amazon Basics Dog Poop Bags with dispenser is a good option if you're looking to get a lot of poop pouches at a reasonable price. The bags are a little thicker than a produce bag, but not quite as thick as most plastic take-out bags. I'm not terribly particular about the thickness of the bags as much as I am concerned about the durability of the bags - I really don't want digested dog snacks on my hand, so as long as I can pick up the goods without actually touching them, I'm happy. The bags I received have, so far, not had any holes, tears, or otherwise compromised bags in the batch. They're unscented, but I don't really care, since when I take my dog for a walk, I usually toss them in the trash bin at the park immediately, so scented bags aren't a necessity. For those who use their own rubbish bins to put the poop packs in, I would probably put the filled bags inside a larger plastic bag, as I don't think these are thick enough to contain the smell. As for the bag dispenser, I initially liked it because it kept the bags conveniently in one place, but I later found that the pill-shaped holder doesn't stay closed effectively - i.e., I lost the bottom half while taking my dog out for a walk one day because it got unscrewed. This was frustrating because I not only lost the holder, but also one roll of bags. It's not a deal-breaker for me, since I used to just tie a few bags to the leash and went back to my old habit, but it would've been nice to have a functioning poop bag holder. For those who care about these bags being environmentally friendly, they are not unfortunately. I don't believe these bags are biodegradable, but the material is sturdy, and that was good enough for me. Overall, this is a good option if you're looking for simple black doggie poop bags that are well made and an easy to use means of cleaning up after your dog.
