    • Not Perfect But Awesome!
I'm not paid or compensated to write this review. This definitely works for my 4 month old mutt. We got her at 8wks and have been working hard to do positive reinforcement to discourage territorial barking in the backyard but it hasn't produced the desired result. So we decided to try this. It sounds alarm the first two times she barks, the third time it sounds the alarm and vibrates. The fourth time same thing but it vibrates a bit longer. It gets her attention the first time it sounds the alarm. It really does discourage her from barking further. She's 11 lbs and it's small and light enough for her. Other ones are too big/heavy. The only thing I don't like is that even if you make it pretty tight, your dog can still move the collar when they scratch their neck. So you can't just put it on and walk away - if the mechanism isn't in the front like it's supposed to be, then it doesn't work consistently. I have to constantly check to make sure it's still positioned right. But other than that, it really is a great augmentation to positive reinforcement. I know a lot of people are against using bark collars or any sort but positive reinforcement can only do so much and this truly has been a game changer for us.     • Sort of works, but it's inconsistent and so not very effective
First off, I dislike that you can't change it to vibrate from the get go. The beep warning doesn't work for all dogs. Certainly doesn't for mine. Even upping the sensitivity, if he spaces out his bark a few seconds long enough, it will just keep beeping several times instead of moving to vibrate, and he's already figured this out. Secondly, sometimes it doesn't even work at all and won't even register the barks so it doesn't beep or anything even on a full charge. We already clipped the excess length on it because my finace wanted to keep trying it so now we can't return it. It's really disappointing that after all these years, there's only 2 collars I could find on the market geared towards dogs under 10lbs. It doesn't leave a lot of options if one product doesn't work very well. ... show more

This is a thick plastic and the seal is very sturdy; there are no leaks! They actually smell good; it’s a weird combination of cinnamon and baby powder! Very easy to tear at the perforation! I will be ordering these regularly! The colors are also great!

Collar is easy to use and light weight. My Boston, would stand and bark at dogs down the street or nothing, at all, when out in the yard. This has pretty much put a end to the constant barking. He will occasionally bark once but stops immediately. Saw results within the first 2 times I used it. Have started weaning him out of it. I can go several days without recharging it. I would recommend this However, my friend bought the same for her Shorkie the is about 5-7 lbs. Hasn't seamed to work for him. He continues to bark. I have been buying a different brand for years, that we're hard to pull apart, and cost 33% more than these! These bags do not rip or come apart. The perforated side is easy to pull apart, and I will never go back to the other brand.
