  • Powerful for size & cost
Color: Black Style: 100W (2 USB-C + 2 USB-A)
We use the Tripp-Lite version(model U280-W04-100C2G) at work. When I found this identical charger under Amazon Basics, I compared specs and found it is the same unit at a better price. The Tripp-Lite handles all my charging at work, which gave me the confidence to try this one. At home, the Amazon Basics 100W four port charger is used to charge all our devices including our MacBooks, an iPad Pro, iPhones and other devices - sometimes all four ports are in use. It has made all of my older chargers obsolete. USB PD (Power Delivery) is a game changer; be sure to read up about it (see below.) This charger follows the USB PD Rev. 2.0 source profiles for USB-C. It does not do PPS (Programmable Power Supply) charging under USB PD Rev. 3 and up; it is a new protocol that not many devices use, at least not yet. Both chargers display several agency markings including FCC and UL. The UL certification for this charger is listed under E472287 for model B087MDYP24 as found online. Beware of using electrical appliances that are not UL listed, there's a lot of them out there. Keep in mind that claiming 'conforms to UL standards' doesn't count; that means it hasn't passed UL safety standards. So far, this one is a winner. No problems after several months of use, UL listed, compact size, powerful, multiple ports and a decent price. I recommend getting the 100W four port version because it works for so many charging needs. I'll add updates with use. Some troubleshooting tips: • I've never had a problem with this coming loose from an electrical outlet. If this doesn't stay plugged in to your outlet, the problem might be with the outlet. Loose electrical outlets are a fire hazard! • USB-C Power Delivery is variable: - The device being charged negotiates what voltage and current the charger is to deliver. If the device is not capable of this negotiation, the charger will default to the older USB-A power standard. - The power delivered depends on the connecting cable. Low quality cables can charge but not at the higher power this charger is capable of. For best results use a good quality cable. - The more a battery charges up, the less power it will draw. If you want to see a charger's best performance, start with a battery with a low state of charge. - Some devices such as my Apple Watch will draw less power during charging when the display is active. Once the display turns off, the charge rate increases. Go figure. Updates March 9, 2023: 9 months along and no problems to report with this wall charger. It charges all our devices even with all four ports in use. We're now using it with a MacBook Air M1 & iPad Pro - both get charged quickly with no overheating. This still gets a strong recommendation. June 25, 2023: One year of use and this is my go-to charger. I still rate it five stars and I don't give out five stars easily. September 11, 2024: Two years along and this is still my go-to charger. It works great with our new MacBook Air M3 with the MagSafe 3 charging cable, charging at 100W as reported under System Information. It's an even better deal now that Amazon has reduced the price. Still recommended. :) I hope you find this helpful. Cheers ... show more

  • Works Great!!
Color: Black Style: 65W (1 USB-C)
This 65 watt charger has PD (power deliver) compatibility and can be used to power up devices that require PD. Powerful and works very well. It does require a cable with PD capability (purchased separately) to charge PD devices. I like the retracting plug as well.

  • best tried yet especially for high capacity batteries
Color: White Style: 65W (1 USB-C)
I've gone through three supposedly fast GAN chargers for my Samsung devices over the past year, all with the same advertised output. problem was the first two charged my phone and tablet very slowly, not fast by any stretch. this charger cost me less than those but surprisingly it actually charged my devices quickly. the device with the largest battery the Samsung galaxy tablet with a 11200mAh battery charged so quickly i went and swapped with my others to compare. i found that there was no comparison, the speed difference as stark as night and day. i was so impressed by the performance of this charger i ordered a second so all my devices that support faster charging could do so. i could not be happier with this even if it took me two failed attempts to get one that actually performed as promised. ... show more

  • Works well
Color: Black Style: 68W (2 USB-C)
It does its job charging pretty fast.. only thing is it’s a little heavy and when I had to put it on the adapter when traveling in Europe it falls down sometimes. But well built and solid for sure.

  • Nice unit
Color: Black Style: 100W (2 USB-C + 2 USB-A)
Got this for when we go the our camping trailer. There is limited outlets in our trailer so the unit allows us to charge multi devices at a time. Works like charm.

  • Powerful, UL Listed USB-C and USB-A wall charger, charges many laptops and smaller devices
Color: White Style: 68W (1 USB-C + 1 USB A)
Amazon Basics 68W Two-Port GaN Wall Charger with 1 USB-C and 1 USB-A Port My son wanted to carry a single charger for his laptop using USB-C Power Delivery, and other devices via a regular USB-A port. And I wanted the charger to be safety tested (e.g. UL or ETL listed). I have found and bought 3 similar chargers that do this: 1. Bluefeel USB C Charger PD 45W Charger Power Delivery, model S-TR-141 https://smile.amazon.com/Charger-Delivery-Dynamic-Detect-MacBook/dp/B09DW6P8ZY/ (16 Oct 2021 updated the Amazon link; old link was dead; Bluefeel product appears the same but now no reviews are shown) (21 Aug 2023, the Bluefeel seems to be gone from Amazon, so for a good and very inexpensive charger look instead at "Cable Matters 72W 4-Port USB C Charger (USB C Wall Charger) with 60W Power Delivery for Laptops..." www.amazon.com/dp/B01MS9CTB7 ) Pros (compared to the other charger): *Economical (only about half the price) 2. This Amazon Basics 68W Two-Port GaN Wall Charger, model B087MDT515 (availability of this product varies but it is on Amazon as of 21 Aug 2023). Pros (compared to other charger): *More powerful (rated 60W max if only the USB-C port is used, 3 Amps at 20 Volts) *Has an LED that tells you if it's plugged into a live outlet *Made in Vietnam (an advantage if you think we should diversify our suppliers away from that other country we have a huge trade deficit with) Both chargers: *Are UL listed (for safety) *Get only slightly warm to the touch when in use, ~20 degrees F above ambient temperature *Can charge a HP EliteBook x360 1030 G2 laptop *Can charge a HP Elitebook 850 G6 laptop *Can charge an Apple MacBook Pro 13" 2017 model (added to updated review 5 Apr 2021) *Are versatile with both USB-A and USB-C charging ports *Travel well with a plug that folds flat, and can operate off 100-240 VAC Charging the most power-hungry laptop I have, the Elitebook 850 G6 (with a 15" screen), using a USB power meter in-line I have seen the Bluefeel provide 2.05 A at 20 V (41W, ~5W short of it max rating), and the Basics 68W charge at 2.75 A at 20 V (55W, also 5W short of it's max rating). In both cases the chargers could recharge a depleted battery while the laptop was in use, though obviously the Basics should be able to recharge it faster with it's higher power output. Note the Elitebook 850 G6 comes with a 65 Watt non-USB charger, but the Bluefeel 45 W USB-C charger was able to power it just fine. If you plug into the USB-A port to charge a phone, I've seen the Basics 68W USB-C output drop about 0.5 A (~10 W) from 2.75 A to about 2.25 A. This is expected as the back of the charger shows two sets of specs: one for 2 outputs in use, USB C and A, and another spec for only 1 output in use, USB C. I recommend all 3 of these chargers. The Cable Matters is the best bargain and has the highest USB-C power rating. The Bluefeel has less power than the other two; it used to be a good bargain but since it seems to be unavailable now you have to look elsewhere. The Amazon Basics 68 W may be better if money is no object and may be slightly better for traveling with it's folding plug that connects directly to a wall outlet. I urge everyone to only buy electronics that plug into the wall if their SAFETY has been tested by a reputable lab, e.g. products that are UL or ETL listed. Any design flaw in something connected to 120 VAC could turn it into a fire hazard. I used a USB-C to USB-C 3 Amp ("60 W") 6' fast charging cable that I purchased separately. 21 Aug 2023 bumped up the rating for the BlueFeel and Amazon Basics 68W chargers to 5 stars since my family has 2 Bluefeels and 1 Amazon working fine for over 2 years. P.S. I'm an electrical engineer. ... show more
