It works just as well (if not better) at loosening mucus and helping my cough feel more productive, and I don’t feel like I’m paying extra just for packaging. What I liked: Works well: Noticeable relief and it does what guaifenesin is supposed to do. Quality: Feels comparable to the name brand in every way. Ease of swallow: The tablets are easy enough to take with water and don’t have a weird taste. Value: Same active ingredient, same dose, extended-release, for a much better price. Have been getting these for several years & prefer them over name/store brand. The quality and product have been consistently the same every time. The pills are on the larger side but easy to swallow because of the way they are made. They do have a unique smell, not necessarily horrible - they just smell like guaifenesin, not any more or less. Over the years, even the smell has remained consistent. We use these daily as a family member has COPD & whenever we have a cold or allergy need.
