I really like this 'Vicks' VapoRub, in the lavender scent; it provides the same relief of certain symptoms as the original kind-but with a soothing lavendar aroma. 😌 The rub is the texture of a petroleum jelly, but is softer and melts into the skin. It absorbs quickly, and doesn't give a sticky or greasy feeling. I really like this size, as it's perfect for me; I don't need a lot of the VaporRub, but when I do, this will last me a while. I don't just use it when I have colds either; sometimes I just put it on my chest, back, wrists, feet or wherever just because I find it to be helpful with several purposes. Smells much better, works exactly as it should. I recommend this stuff. Same texture. Small enough size it fits in my purse if needed. It still helps on itchy mosquito bites too!

I will only use this medicine on my daughters feet as the doc says its too strong for most kids, however the smell was much more pleasant and easier to get my kid to use

I do like it, the lavender scent is pleasant but it doesn’t seem as effective in relieving my congestion as the original. It just seems like a scented Aquaphor.

I was apprehensive about buying Vicks because let's face it, you typically misplace the tub before you ever get to the bottom. But I've been suffering from a cold that just won't let up and I felt like I needed something that would last a little longer than the effects I get from a neti pot or cough drops. Seeing the lavender scent had me curious so I thought I'd give it a try. First impressions - I was pleased with the size of the container. Small enough that I think I might actually see the bottom but not so small that it will get lost in the medicine cabinet. At first application, I was a little disappointed. I have several memories of getting this slathered on my chest and neck as a child and the assault of smell that usually follows is deeply rooted. I didn't get that initial hit and was a little letdown. Then, after a few minutes, everything started to amplify. The tingling started and the smell followed. The lavender is delightful and does not disappoint in its aroma or calming effect. My sinuses felt better and I was encouraged to breathe deeper. I found that as the product wore off I was craving the effects of the aromatherapy alone. Since it's a gel-like substance and my sinuses were so dry I also applied it at the opening of my nasal passages. This is contraindicated on the packaging but wow, immediate dryness relief. I now keep this on my nightstand so I have it close by when I wake up with a heavy chest. I used it the other day after spending the day gardening on an old elbow injury and the lavender lulled me right to sleep. I'm really happy that I gave Vicks, which was an old staple in my home growing up, another try - you should too. ... show more
