The taste is pleasant to me, however my wife pointed out it has aspartame in it. Somehow she can immediately taste artificial sweeteners. So I would say it isn't for everybody. I've been waiting for a sale of Pepcid Complete at Costco, and there haven't been any, so I needed to pay full retail. Before buying the 100ct bottle there I checked the Amazon price. Since it was a few cents cheaper (per tablet) I decided to try these. I like the flavor and softness of the Pepcid tabs better, but these are just fine. Comparing these to Pepcid, yes the texture/flavor is different. These are more dry and chalky which is similar to the store branded versions I've tried. Besides that these are a much better value and seem to work just the same.
