My gastroenterologist recommended Miralax to me because a medication that I take causes me to have severe constipation. She felt this would be the best laxative for me because it works naturally with one’s body and typically doesn’t have any bad side effects. My primary doctor agreed that this laxative would be best for me. I admit to enjoying the "benefits" of Miralax. Normally I guy the Amazon version in a big plastic Amazon bottle - and it's great . BUT when I travel it's not convenient to carry the big bottle to breakfast in a hotel restaurant. Why advertise?? So, I buy these individual packets. They can be a little hard to open but they are so much more discreet! A bit more expensive than the bulk too but that's to be expected. I'm going to Europe for a month in a week or so and I will go with "confidence" since I will have the Miralax "stuff" with me in a very convenient way. ... show more

Good packaging for travel. Strange way to open it that doesn't work great. You're meant to turn the corner down and then you can rip it on the perforation, but this wasn't obvious and doesn't always work. Sometimes I can't do it and need to use scissors.

The cost of the product isabout 1/2 that of the name brand product of the same ingredients. Since the product is in a packet it is very easy to use, either at home or on the road. They performance is about the same as the Name Brand of the same ingredients. These are easy to mix and clarify, if mixed with warm water, stirred and allowed to clear. A cold water mixture does not mix and clarify as well and experience shows that it does not completely disolve leaving a residue on the glass. Which is the same result with the High Price Brand. The headline says it all, really. Just like the more expensive Miralax in a convenient, easy to travel with packet. Easy to mix and easy to drink. I prefer using more water than recommended.
