I've put up by myself, so installation already was tougher but a couple of things have been a problem outside of it probably being a two person job. The picture is beautiful of course, but the sheets aren't made for much (if any) overlap. I did lightly dust and wipe down the walls. I didn't sand. Because my walls are plaster and the paint on them is matte, the surface isn't slick and adhesion is pretty good. I think humidity would destroy that, but between A/C and a dehumidifier in the basement, the first floor stays reasonably dry. I found that I could pattern match best if I temporarily stuck the sheet up around the middle with painters tape to get things close, then overlapped by a mm or so. Between the 2nd and 3rd panels there was a significant issue in matching the pattern from the middle section and the top rose, so I cut diagonally across the back and now the 3rd panel is 2 pieces (but barely noticeable in the black- similar issue on panel 7 when matching to 6 but I wasn't able to fix because the bottom would have need to separate from the top leaving blank wall between. Installation and pattern matching would be so much easier to do if the backing were split into at least 2 pieces so that I could work from the middle out in sticking it down. But that would only go so far because it feels like some panels may have been from different printings making a match impossible.

I read others reviews for this product. So I planned and prepared from previous experience. I had used another peel and stick wallpaper, and knew what to expect. I did ask question from other buyers on how best to place the wallpaper. I did several things that the manufacture did not recommend but I felt would be prudent for this product. I lightly sanded the walls of my office, then washed with clean water several times. I let the walls dry overnight, then used a wall prep product for painting. I sprayed it on and waited 20-30 minutes before applying the wallpaper. I also overlapped the wallpaper, for better adherence. Please be aware that the pattern does not allow for this and you will have some mismatch sections when placing it. As he completes see from the photo the overlap doesn’t look too bad. I also used a tool from local hardware store to place wallpaper than the plastic one supplied by the manufacturer. The tool has one hard plain edge and one soft covered edge that I find works best for this type of wallpaper. I took my time with this and planned for two days to put it up. So far no lifting or issues. I will update in a few weeks/months to let you know how the product holds up to peeling/ lifting. Update: 2 years later and no peeling or any issues.

I read the reviews and thought we could beat the odds. We’ve hung wallpaper in 5 rooms of our house, so we know what we are doing and we did everything right. Didn’t matter. The entire thing would have fallen within 2 days. HOWEVER, since we read the reviews, we sort of expected it. When we hung it, we added trim to the top of the wall, over the wallpaper, to make sure it stayed up. So when it normally would have fallen, it couldn’t. The sides peeled like crazy, so we used a bunch wallpaper seam glue on it and it has been hanging well since! So if you want this paper, I’d highly suggest adding trim to the top and maybe the bottom too, and then be prepared to reglue basically the whole thing.

Overall the mural is beautiful. I was concerned about it's ability to stay stuck to the wall from other reviews. But I had to peel a couple strips off the wall to realine and it actually took off paint and drywall. I'm pretty sure it's not going anywhere. Now the reason I had realign a few pieces is because the strips were not cut straight. In fact it was like slivers were missing in some areas creating gaps. And in other areas it was like the photo was magnified to different percentages on different strips. You can see some gaping in the photos that I had to unpeel and realign. You can also see the photo difference in the photo with the labeled masking tape. Around the tape labled 1 and 2 the photo lined up great. But thdn when you get down between 3 and 4 and under 4, the photo doesn't line up. I am a bit of a perfectionist, but I also paid for a product that I would not have expexted these imperfections. I was able to make it work. And I'm sure as a whole nobody would notice what I do, but the cutting of the 9 strips could have definitely been better. It's up now, it looks as good as it can, time to finish the rest of the room.

The wallcover I received does not match the picture I bought however this pattern doesn't seem to be on the sellers page. There is no blue in mine. Per other revoew pictures theirs seem to be a thinner shiny material. Where as mine is thick and like normal wallcovering. It is not a peel n stick. I ended up using wallpaper adhesive to install it. Overall though it is a nice mural for low cost. I just hope I can get it off easy enough when I want to remodel. The pattern was easy to match up on the pattern. Also the picture says there are 9 rolls and I only received 7. Once again this could be due to a possible change in the mural overall.

I read all the reviews first. So I knew that people complained it fell off the wall or the seems separated. Yup, it did. But I knew going in it probably would. So I made a grid with painters tape and then put double sided tape on top of the painters tape (goal is to have a damage free mural). The one panel that fell is now securely on. It only covers across my bed, which is fine because I have to large windows next to my bed. I added black silk embossed wallpaper on either side, and then framed it in with molding. It is exactly what I was looking for! I ordered another of the same mural to create 2 framed panels on opposite walls in the bedroom. When I was originally looking at oversized dark floral murals, the price was so expensive to do my wall ( which is 144 high x 152) The minimum was around $450! ugh. So I gave up the search and decided to go with a different design approach. until I found this!!! I was so stocked!
