I have the Apple Watch Ultra 2, I hate charging it daily and garmin instinct 2 tactical and this is by far better than both. Great features and quality of a high end tracker. The apps work great and it’s easy to use. I love the gestures of swiping left up down etc it’s a lot more intuitive than my ultra 2. I love it so much I got rid of my Apple Watch Ultra 2 and this is my main watch now. I like the bigger size and the weight is great. It looks nice and am happy I chose this over the garmin instinct 3. All the features of the instinct an ultra with great battery life it’s an amazing value. I’ve been using the Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro for a little while now, and I’m honestly impressed with how tough and reliable it is. The build feels solid and rugged, perfect for workouts or outdoor adventures, but still looks stylish enough for everyday wear. The display is bright and clear, even in sunlight, and the battery life easily lasts several days, which is a big plus. I really like how accurate the fitness tracking is, especially the heart rate and sleep monitoring, and the GPS locks on quickly.     • If only the GPS could recalculate on the fly…

Wonderful watch. Ton of hardware for the price, huge memory, fast and precise GPS, fast processor, exceptional screen, good heart rate and SPO2 sensor, flash light red and white dimmable, high capacity battery, can work off line, voice commands, very customizable, can play music on Bluetooth, can ask any question with Flow. But… it was designed for fitness. I bought it primarily to act as a safety back up of my iPhone to find my way back for climbing in the 20,000ft range. When temp drop near 32°F and screen is wet it gets difficult to unlock the screen, although I just learnt how to pan and zoom map during workout only by using the buttons. Routing is only available in workout mode which pisses me off every kilometer or so with announcements like average speed bla bla bla that I do not know how to block, but I have to leave the sound on to listen to GPS instructions such as right left back on track or deviate… My main issue is when I deviate to the point that the route is out off the screen, the route recalculate rarely works, but you can always finish workout and create a new route from your location. Also location markers that you previously set do not show on map, plus you cannot give them a name or a number like you do with most GPS and they miss a few icons such as lake summit river parking tent bridge numbers letters... ... show more

    • Best bang for the buck out there for a high end fitness watch

I'll start by saying, I received a Trex pro as a gift years ago, and I'd never heard of the watch or the brand prior to that day. Fast forward a couple of years, that watch became my every day watch and it converted me into a fitness/smart watch fan. Now to the Trex Pro 3. A little treat for myself since I liked the original pro so much. This is a more expensive upgrade of the pro 1, but it's a fantastic watch once again. It does everything the trex pro did well, but now does it slightly better. I'm a huge fan of the addition of the mic and speaker (so you can genuinely use the watch to answer calls or automate pulling up functions of the watch). I'm also a huge fan of the built in flashlight. So far, I use that just about every week and the red light is particularly nice for those with early wake up calls and others sleeping in the house still. As usual, battery life on the new trex pro model is unreal. That was the single biggest deterrent of me entering the smart watch market years ago, and the trex pro 1 blew my mind, often giving me weeks between charges. The new pro 3 is just as amazing. If you are a heavy user like myself, it'll prob last 12-14 days between charges. If you aren't regularly tracking gps runs or workouts, you'll get well into the 20 day range. I also love the quality feel of this watch and the materials they used, everything feels super high quality and durable. As somebody who's also used Garmin watches and run competively for years, I have to say, the GPS accuracy has been an extremely welcome bonus for me. It's generally very accurate and right up there with the other top running GPS signals in my opinion. I've been less impressed with GPS on apple and some other watches in the past. The final thing I'll say about this watch, the app is a highly underrated bonus. It gives a LOT of great workout detail (not quite as much as maybe Garmin but way more detail than most). The app also has a lot of great features that make it truly underrated fitness watch if you are a big fitness or outdoor person. Biocharge is a cool new feature, the new sport additions and improvements to strength training workouts are very welcome changes, and there are pretty respectable food (think myfitnesspal) and sleep trackers as well. Overall, I'm a huge advocate for this watch and think it's one of the best bang for your buck high-end fitness watches on the market. I love Garmins too don't get me wrong, but this is right up there with Garmin for about half the cost. ... show more
