I often soak my feet in ice water to reduce inflammation from various conditions. Until I bought this bucket, I was using a round 3 gallon bucket, which did not allow my feet to rest on the bottom. I was skeptical of the design of this "Collapsible Soak Tub" but decided to try it out. I thought it would be multiple pieces that slid up and down as you "opened" the bucket for use. I was surprised that the collapsible part is made of a flexible plastic that easily folds when you press down on the rim of the tub. Ingenious! I can get both of my big feet in the tub. The bumps on the bottom are supposed to be for "massage" but I think they just allow the water to flow under your feet. When putting only about 3" of water in the tub, it's easy to carry through the house without any water sloshing out of it. When I'm done, I just collapse the thing and it stores easily.

I purchased this because my husband refuses to get a pedicure, he wont allow anyone to touch his feet. Ordinary pedicure tubs are not sanitary as it has holes for water bubbles, and you literally have to wash and disinfect right after use which means you would need to run it without using it just to clean it and some men have big feet that just don't fit into these tubs. This one however is the perfect size, keeps the water warm, does the job that you need it to do and its easy & quick to clean and sanitize !! MY husband now soaks his feet while watching football!!

It's nothing special. Its shape and collapsibility makes it more comfortable and convenient than a standard bucket, but it's definitely cheap. You can see this exact product sold under multiple brand names. The rubber that allows it to collapse was already stressed either from my first use or before it even arrived. If you fill water past the line where the rubber begins, the bucket will sway as you carry it no matter how you hold it or how slowly you walk and it WILL spill. But if you keep it just shallow enough for feet only it works fine. The collapsibility also can't lock -- I prefer to set it with the wide side facing me so I can space my feet a little more, but if it's not directly under your knees then the walls of the bucket will move under the lightest pressure from your legs. It almost folds up too easily. But it is functioning as designed. The texture at the bottom is *weird*. I could see why people would hate it, and I could see hwy people would like it. It did nothing for me but feel weird, but it didn't hurt. This gets the job done for the price, but I don't feel very confident in it staying in one piece.

Product is good so far, I do worry about the rubber area and how long it will last. Otherwise the collapse feature is great, makes it good for easy storage and so far have used with no issues.
