I love these barstools. The color is perfect. They seem like they will be sturdy (we shall see). This is the only item I have ever received from Amazon that had some wood packaging. Way cool. Unpacking and assembly: really nice job in packaging. Mine came to Florida and no packaging damage issues. I had a little trouble pulling the chairs apart from one another. That took a little (ok lot) of muscle. Not sure why. Assembly was really simple and straightforward. Instructions say to loosely fit then tighten only after all snug. Not sure why. Didn’t have any issues - but I did follow the directions. Each chair requires 8 screws/bolts. There is no locking hardware so I used a bit of Locktite on each screw. To be fair - the seat bolts do have built in locking heads - not sure what they are called. I just already had the locktite out for the others. One bit of caution. Don’t over tighten the screws. They are all threaded into round inserts into the wood. These can rotate and not tighten at all if too much force or torque. Of all, let’s see, 32 screws, I had one that slipped. The seat backs don’t fit perfect to the seat pan. BUT 1. It’s not difficult to work through it, and 2. I’m convince this slight springy misalignment should help as a bolt locking device. Meaning once assembled there is a little pressure on the bolts. All tools are included. Okay just two Allen wrenches. But they are metric, so nice that those are included. Then as a special treat there’s 2 each of the two screw sizes included as Spares. Clearly labeled Spares. Also two extra rubber feet. Nice extra touch. Not sure about longevity- I’ll check back in 10 years. ... show more

Had a small problem with one chair leg being bent when received. I experienced the MOST AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Quick response, and they went aboce and beyond making things right!! HIGHLY recommend working with this company!!! And chairs are adorable.

The stools seem to be pretty sturdy. One of them is wobbly and the distressed gold looks like it was just randomly painted on and an after thought I could have done it. It is random and you can see all the brush strokes.

These guys are actually really good, sturdy stools. They were easy to put together and the swivel works well. The only issue is relative to us more well-endowed folks. With the seat back on, the seat is way too narrow and the metal digs in. Very uncomfortable. I took the seat backs off and they work fine. You can see the bolt threads where the seat back should attach, but it blends in with the seat pretty well and isn't all that noticeable. ... show more

Purchased these for my kitchen. Color is great, but over all design sucks. They are VERY SMALL. Like smaller than the ones that look the same at a not online store. The backs are not supportive at all. The seats are so small (and I am NOT a large person) that if you turn in a chair, the chair base hits your legs. Extremely uncomfortable.
